We’d like to introduce you to 💖NALA💖
This beautiful, sweet, special needs baby is looking for a foster or adopter in the NYC area. We are willing to set up transport if anyone outside of NYC would like to adopt! 🥰 (we will just need to have a neurologist for her in the area, but can discuss further)

Her story:
We were contacted by our friends from the amazing rescue Super Hero The Hydrocephalic Cat and Zeke - SHAHS Non Profit Rescue Society a one year old kitty in queens who needs some help. She had obvious telltale signs of Hydrocephalus and since we have two hydros, Jeremy and Sally, this really resonated with us and we wanted to help her! 🩷

Once in our care, our first stop for her was the neurologist. Dr. Berg wanted to do an mri on her immediately. Even though we were 99.9% sure we were dealing with a hydrocephalic kitty, the news was sadly worse than we expected. Nala has extremely severe hydrocephaly. In fact there is very little brain tissue and mostly fluid💔

Because Nala was not spayed, this raised the question for us, is she acting out because she is hormonal or is she acting out because she is either in pain or has deteriorated to the point where there isn’t much cognition? 😞 OR maybe she is extra stressed now in a new environment...

Dr. Berg gave us 3 options: a shunt (which in her severe case isn’t a recommended option because of the risks), medication or euthanasia.
We have NEVER been a rescue to euthanize easily so we opted for medication and have also discussed with one of our vets and dr. Berg about spaying and they were both comfortable with us proceeding.
We are happy to say that she was spayed and she is doing fine after the surgery. She also has been on medication to manage the hydro and she is doing okay. We have another appointment with the neurologist next week and we are hoping for better news. But from what we see, she is doing better! 🙏

We are a rescue with MANY kitties and Nala would definitely benefit from a foster (or adopter) who is willing to help us with her. The plan is medicate, observe and give her the best life she can have! So she really needs someone who can give her more 1-1 attention so she can be monitored closely and get lots of love and attention❤️ plus, administer her medication daily 💊

Hello friends! Jeremy’s mom here🩷 Sorry It’s been a while since we’ve posted. As some of you may know, I was expecting twins. Well, we finally welcomed them into the world in June! 🥳 they were born a month early.
We decided to name(middle name) one of the girls Luci, in honor of our sweet boy 🤍LUCAS🤍 who crossed the rainbow bridge in May. 🌈 We use to call him “Luki” and the name Luci was the closest girl version. His passing was one of the hardest things I ever had to overcome, especially while being pregnant.😞 my heart still hurts and I miss him everyday. but we wanted his memory to live on💝 we miss him so much but he will never be forgotten.

As much as I really want to post pictures of my girls, I’m just not ready to post them yet🥺 thankfully, both of my girls were born healthy and are currently doing well. Also keeping me very very busy 😅🩷
All of the fur babies are also doing well🥰
We will try to start posting more frequently soon.❤️ we hope you understand.🩵

Meet MY FOSTER SISRER, sweet 🖤🤍SAMANTHA🤍🖤
Samantha was brought to the vet by a feeder who claimed she was missing for a few days, then came back with a huge abscess on her face ☹️ she did not have much money but wanted the doctor to just simply drain the abscess and said she was going to be put back outside. Even with the abscess drained she could not go back outside! (Especially without being spayed!) The doctor explained the risks of putting Samantha under anesthesia because she is 7 years old. Plus, she was outside for a while and blood work was necessary. Luckily, one of our volunteers who worked at the clinic noticed that Samantha was NOT feral AT ALL. so we decided to ask the feeder to surrender Samantha to us so we can get her fully vetted and give her the life she deserves indoors. (last few photos is how she looked before💔)
Results from her blood work came back and unfortunately we found out she has kidney disease and will need to be on a prescription diet for life 🙁 other than that, her abscess has completely healed and she is thriving 💕 she’s so sweet and loves to be pet. She also has extra toes!!! 🐾 We could not imagine her outside fending for herself.

She is looking for a FURVER home❤️ or FOSTER to give her all the love in the world. She is good with other cats and with calm small/medium size dogs. but can be fostered or adopted alone! If interested in sweet Samantha please reach out to us 🙏 she’s waiting for her happily ever after.

Hello everyone! 💗 We made SOO MANY new friends this month! 🥳 we’re at 3.5K followers. Woohoo!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Here’s some facts about me for all of my new friends:
🐾 My name is Jeremy! (DUH)

🐾I was rescued when I was just a FEW WEEKS old along with my SIS PHOEBE, by an amazing rescue MeowSquad NYC 💕 unfortunately one of my siblings had already passed away by the time help came. 💔 but he is always is our hearts and We will love him forever 💝

🐾me and my sister Phoebe needed to be bottle fed and luckily meowsquad was able to find a bottle feeder ASAP. Who is now our forever mommy because we were FOSTERS FAILS. 💕

🐾when I was very tiny, I was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus. Thankfully, not severe but I still take medication everyday. I’m very good at taking my meds, unlike my sister Sally. She always gives my mom a hard time 🙄

🐾 I have a lot of siblings, one of them is SALLY. She also has Hydrocephalus but that does not take away from how funny and sweet she is! We love her very much. We love all of my siblings!! 💕

Our baby Chelsea didn’t make it 💔 She fought hard to survive and we exhausted all resources trying to save her. Her short time with us leaves a huge emptiness in our hearts. There are no words to describe how helpless we feel.
We are actively rescuing cats and kittens from very rough and bad places. No matter how much care and safety protocols we have in place when we intake new rescues, we can’t prevent any underlying and unknown illnesses from happening. Community cats don’t receive prosper care and it gets worse when they reproduce.
Saving lives is not easy and we can’t do this alone. Your kindness in supporting and donating to help us save our precious Chelsea makes you the real hero in this rescue journey.

🐞BUGG AND BEE UPDATE🐝
These two little guys Both had an abscess on the side of their face 😞 so an opening was made so we can start getting all the gunk out. We’ve been following Dr Kim’s protocol, which is to do warm compress, squeeze as much puss we can get and add a topical antibiotic multiple times a day to avoid adding a drain. Plus, they got a convenia injection and are on clavamox twice a day. We already see a major difference!!
As for their eyes, we are still hopeful Buggs eye can be saved within time. Unfortunately, Bee will need his eye removed, we just have to wait for him to be a bit bigger to do that procedure. So for now we’re just trying to keep them both as comfortable as possible.

PLEASE HELP MY FOSTER BROTHERS🙏❤️‍🩹🐝🐞BUGG AND BEE both came to us in such poor condition. 💔
As you can see in the photos, Bugg has a huge cyst on the side of his face. It is super painful for Bugg and it’s necessary he sees a specialist🙏😞

We also really need to see an optimologist to see if Bees eye is able to be saved or if it need to be removed completely 😞
