👋🏾 We are fully coming out of hibernation and excited to SPRING into action! 😂

I promise we have been busy in the background these past 3 months: garlic planted, cover crop seeded, ginger and greens started indoors, snipping old plants and cleaning up the plot.

So come out and help us get a good start to the growing season. 💚

Oh hey y'all! I have been hibernating but still active and doing all the things I love to do. I decided to make some fresh pasta during the 'winter storm' this weekend.

I used semolina flour mixed with a little all purpose flour, fresh eggs from my chicks, salt and water. I paired this pasta with a beurre blanc sauce I made, tons of garlic, shrimp and a steak.

-Beurre blanc sauce (Sauvignon blanc white wine, lemon juice, cold butter)

The kitchen is my other happy place when I'm not on the farm! 😁👩🏾‍🍳

We are starting seeds and planning this week.

Today was an amazing day! We had 43 soldiers come out to the Oasis to help us clean the greenhouse, clear out some weeds, harvest purple sweet potatoes, peppers, and hibiscus. We made rows in my hoophouse and planted collards, kale and broccoli inside. They also helped the other farmers build growing rows and put up fence posts too!

The energy was high and this help was crucial in making sure that we can continue to provide nutritious and quality vegetables for our communities. 💚🙌🏾💚
