Chore time scene! Our muscovy ducks are quite colorful. White, chocolate and almost solid black. If anyone needs a duck or 2, message us and come get the color of your choice. We will be processing these guys, starting soon, so if you want to order processed duck or just to try one if it's a new thing to you. They are great eating.
If you want to raise meat for yourself we can help you out as there is a good selection of males and females. They grow economically and have a decent amount of meat.

Btw, another 2 females just came out with their 2nd hatches for this spring! Poor females gotta do a lot of sitting!

Transparency post: yesterday the Jenkins lost all 10 laying hens due to them having heatstrokes. Let me explain. On this homestead we have puppies we are diligently trying to rehome. Yesterday one of the puppies were very lethargic and required my immediate attention. Forgetting that I had left the girls out in the cage to “free range” some grass. That was the ultimate case that led them to their deaths. I forgot. A simple mistake and now I have to start all over. While I have mourned over my hens that I raised since pullets, I am optimistic that I can restart from scratch and learned a valuable lesson. Wanted to be as transparent as I could be because we all make mistakes. I just want the next person to learn from mines.
