Had a fun day hunting with ! Th roosters were successful in evading us but we were able to get into some huns and put a few on the ground. Dogs worked great and Red was able to show off his newly acquired upland skills👍🏻

Luna and Red were able to lock down a few more huns for the freezer this last weekend, and as you can see huns are one of Hadley’s favorite birds to chase also!!

The young guns Luna and Levi got it done for the pheasant opener today, we were able to get our limit in under an hour which was nice because the temp started to climb pretty quick as the day went on. Both dogs made great retrieves and we also finished the day off with a bonus covey of huns! Upland season is in full swing now and we are excited to see what the season brings!! &Luna

When I say it’s in their blood I don’t just mean the dogs! Lennon tagged along this afternoon for the upland opener and Dottie was able to work a nice covey of about 15 and I was able to bring two down👍🏻 It won’t be long and our little girl won’t be on my back very much longer for these adventures but instead running along side me trying to keep up! I can’t wait for it but a part of me also doesn’t want it to happen! The life and I are able to give our girls is such a blessing and I hope to be able to continue this tradition with my lil gap toothed baby and her big sis for many years!!

Today we celebrate the one who started the BMP venture! Annie turns 8 today but she still works the field like if she was a 1 year old pup! There are no words to express my gratitude and love for this dog, she has opened up the door to upland hunting and dog training that I would have never known if it wasn’t for her. She is a dog that never will be replaced or replicated, happy birthday to the dog that changed everything for me!🐕🎉

Levi and I had a day to remember chasing roosters! Birds were flushing pretty wild at first but Levi stuck with em and we were able to put a limit in the bag which would not have been possible without a dog. Two of the three roosters hit the ground running and Levi was able to track and retrieve both that had themselves tucked so deep in the grass that without a dog I woulda never found them, we also got a little bonus with a covey of huns right before we got back to the truck! Levi is my youngest dog and I couldn’t be happier with how he worked the field today, he has become a true veteran in his second year!💪🏻

Took Luna and Levi out for a little afternoon session and they did not disappoint! We put up a couple hens and a single rooster that went down in some thick rose hips but Luna was able to make the retrieve no problem💪🏻 Levi was rock solid each and every time with honoring Luna, and I couldn’t ask for anything more from both dogs just wish we had a little more bird exposure but we aren’t gonna complain with a bird in the bag!👍🏻 &levi

Took Dottie out for a little solo mission this afternoon and the only thing that was disappointing was my shooting! We put up a 3 man limit of roosters in total and if I woulda been on my game we woulda had our limit within the first 20 min of the hunt but we still managed to bag a couple out of it. Dottie did a great job and it was a perfect way to end the weekend!👍🏻

Luna and Levi put in some great work this afternoon. We put up a small covey of huns that stayed low on the rise and I wasn’t able to get a safe shot on, but this rooster held extremely tight and flushed perfectly which led to his final demise! Luna made a great retrieve on it as well👌🏻 &Levi

Well this one made us work for it but my boo boo was able to punch her first tag on this stud whitetail! We even managed to do all while packing around a 6 week old baby! I’m so proud of for sticking with it and not giving up even when things don’t always go as planned.

Opening day success! I was fortunate enough to get it done quickly on this buck first thing this morning. Hadley loves her deer deer so the pressure was on to get some meat in the freezer!😅

Well and I found an area with some fresh bear sign and even though we could hear her down in the thick timber this sow didn’t want to play ball yesterday morning after 5 hours of calling! I went back out in the afternoon and after just an hour of calling she came in on a line!

After a little over two months with us Sterling headed back home today! She was a complete joy to work with while she was here and picked up on everything extremely fast. I can’t thank enough for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to work with her for the last couple months we are really gonna miss her but look forward to seeing her continue to excel into this upcoming hunting season!

Whether you’ve got a new bird dog or a seasoned veteran you wanna get ready for upland season I’ve currently got openings for July and August, as well as October for my monthly bird dog training. Come March 1st I will also be offering a couple hours of bird work every Wednesday and Sunday for both positive pigeon work as well as bird work in the field with planted birds from launchers! There will be an hourly rate for my time as well as birds and equipment use. Continuing to stay conditioned for those hot early season hunts! Working in hot temps can definitely make keeping things fun a little harder and sessions might be a little shorter but as long as you pay attention to your dog and what they’re telling you there is no reason you can’t continue putting reps in!

All I ask is for a little progression each day and Kate has been answering!
