Gluconeogenesis?!?!?! I can hardly pronounce that! It's just a fancy word for a process where glucose is made from other non-glucose stuff. That's really important because glucose is what gives all life (including cats) energy to do stuff, like lay around all day in a cardboard box. Cats are extra special because they don't need to carb out on pasta like us humans. They can get their glucose from protein because of, you guessed it, gluconeogenesis converting protein amino acids into glucose.

A student of Berklee College of Music, she has performed for numerous different events, including weddings, receptions, banquets, expositions, corporate, funerals, etc. In addition, she played at the market in 2019.

Meet Scarlet! She's the royal queen of Little Lions. Here's her story from our website https://buff.ly/43oiiPy

"Scarlet was put through the adoption process five times because she had diarrhea, wouldn't use the litter box, and scratched herself into scabs. Her previous owners or the vets she saw had no idea what was wrong with her. I needed to learn more about cats because I was determined not to let Scarlet go.

I discovered house cats are not far off biologically from their wild cat relatives. Wild cats eat whole prey, not kibble. All of Scarlet's symptoms pointed toward food allergies. So I put two and two together and figured she has a food intolerance to kibble. Feeding her raw was the obvious choice at this point.

Immediately her symptoms cleared up. She no longer scratched, her stools were firm, and she used the litter box! Hurray! I was so overjoyed with what a radical difference such a simple change in diet could make. So I founded Little Lions a Cat Company, hoping to bring that same joy to every cat owner out there. "
