Fun fact about me, I love going to dog shows! Especially when I have someone to cheer on! I’ve fallen in love with a breed I will never own, get to meet people who love the same thing I do, involve my mini me in the dog world, and we are (not so) patiently waiting for a red toy poodle to be able to groom and show in the future!

These last six months have been a time of incredible growth for me! I started at my first non corporate job after randomly emailing my now boss and begging her to hire me. What an incredible choice that was! I’ve had the space, support and resources to grow my skills, my eye for grooming and a deeper understanding of why I do the things I do as a groomer (and still do BTW). These dogs are far from perfect BUT given it’s the third time I’ve ever groomed them - and one was a shave down, I have learned some things. 1. Notes from the Grooming Table is great! But not a cookie cutter. 2. A haircut is not correct if it looks a hot mess. 3. Sometimes corrective grooming looks like *not* leaving an underline if it makes the dog look ridiculous. 4. Sometimes a fresh start (new scary job change or a shave down) helps you realize true potential.
