She's home!! ❤️🩹
A few weeks ago butts sustained an injury out hacking, we walked home on foot and after no improvement after 2 days the vet was called and an ultrasound done.
Unfortunately she was diagnosed with annular ligament dismitis and tear of the manica flexoria (inner attachment).
It was surgery or PTS.
Retirement wasn't an option as they said she would be in constant pain.
Since we were told surgery would be successful and this is quite common in ponies (never seen it before myself), and we could get back to almost all the same activities - we went ahead.
After 3 weeks wait, shes had a 3 day stay at 3 counties and is now home.
Another 3 weeks box rest before she can go out in a small pen and no work of any kind till we bring in the new year.
She hates it already and I am devastated for her but at least she's been given a chance at life and hopefully everything goes well the next few months and she can get back out doing what she loves. 🤞
