Finally got a video of our roll call! We haven’t practiced it much lately because it’s been SO muggy and every time we stopped the mosquitos would swarm us all. Today we had the BEST day!!!!

We do a lot of relaxing in between play at camp. It teaches the dogs that relaxation can feel just as good as play and it also keeps the energy levels at a healthy level so ALL of the dogs regardless of their play style can have fun.

We moved to our summer land and the dogs went NUTS for the water!🤪 It took me a bit to get them adjusted to the new land, but we did it!

Rudder had his trial day today! He fit in so well with the Tuesday pack. He was a bit snarky in the car with the dogs which isn’t uncommon on the first day. Most dogs aren’t used to being put into a car with a lot of dogs. We went slow and he quickly learned the rules. He had a confident, calm demeanor when out with the dogs. He went between just hanging out and playing with the other dogs. Yay Rudder! Excited to work with you again next week!

Yesterday at camp, we were put to the test and I finally got to see all the work that I put in with my (small) pack. First we ran into a flock on HUGE turkeys. They are often out and I often overlook the property for wild animals when I drive in. If I spot them in the front field we don’t go there. I didn’t see them this time so I decided to give it a shot. As we were pack walking the field, 2 out of the 3 dogs alerted to the turkeys. They were like 40 ft away!!!! Because they were already pretty relaxed I was able to turn them around without much work.

Once we got through the fields the main property was being mowed. It made some of the dogs nervous so we sat and relaxed and watched them do their work. The dogs didn’t want to turn around since they were mowing the pond (their favorite spot).

When they were done we headed to the pond and I let them play. We pack walked back to the car and they were super calm as we walked by them mowing the rest of the property. I felt like for once, I had total control of these dogs and we all worked in harmony🙌🙌🙌. It was a proud “mama” moment.

Tuesday was a great day! The land is FINALLY starting to really dry out. These dogs had a blast!

Monday and Tuesday were some fine days with these guys!

We had a great first day at camp and both dogs got and A++! My pack might be small now but looking to add more dogs every few weeks as the current pack gets adjusted to the rules of the pack and get used to socializing with each other.
