Pyrenean Mastiff Database

The Pyrenean Mastiff Database has a Memo of Understanding with Pyrenean Mastiff Association of America that will be reviewed yearly. PMAA promotes the idea that information regarding the breed should be openly available worldwide. The database is run independently to allow access world wide and encourage the use of the database and not restrict it only to club members. Breeders can make account's, update dog information, add litters, list studs, list their kennel, and even put out Litter ads.

In addition to this announcement we wanted to share the process of adding a litter ad!

From the navigation menu, if you select "Place an Ad" you will get a pop up to fill in information for the litter (image 1). Once done you can select "Litter Ads" (image 1) and it will take you to a lit of litters being advertised (image 2). From here you an elect a litter to view more information along with the breeder's contact information (image 3). Please note you must have your account setup as a breeder in order to place an ad.

You can remove a litter ad by going to the mother's profile and clicking edit and the litter ads tab. (image 4)

Did you know there is an advance search option? The more data entered for dogs allows you to do advance searches by various data points to include searching by country, dogs born, health test results etc. The more complete data we have in the database the more functional this search feature will be.

Don't forget anyone can make an account and submit updates to the database! Once updates are approved by an admin they are committed to the database. If there is any incorrect data we appreciate corrections made as much of the data is gathered from other public databases or by manual research.

An example of a dog's profile with data populated, you can add pictures, health testing results, and more data. Our database also allows us to add new fields as they become necessary for data collection.

Our Pedigree Database allows you to do trial pairings all the way to grandparents to allow you to plan out future breedings with dogs who may not even be born yet! Most databases only allow you to do a trial pedigree with mother and father.

We have now hit over 10,000 dogs in the database! We have been scanning the Finnish, Dutch, Estonian, Italian, Spanish, French, and Swedish databases trying to combine as much data into one place as possible.

Some of the hardest countries for us to gather data from are Poland and the Czech Republic so if you are a breeder it would be wonderful for you to sign up and input your litter data.

If you have a breeder account and want to list stud dogs that are available. You search the dog you want to add to the stud dog list, click the 3 lines next to their name and select edit.

Once here you need to be sure to assign ownership of your stud dog to yourself and check them as "Active" under "Breeding Dog".

There is a comments section on the dog's profile where you can make notes if frozen semen is available etc.

To show up on the breeder list when you edit or create an account be sure to select that you want a public page and to show up on the breeder list.

If you have a dog you want to add or update information on you must create an account. Standard accounts allow you to submit/update information for approval by an admin.

When adding dogs to the database you can add individual dogs by selecting Add a Dog -> Add a Dog from the menu. You can also Add an entire litter at one time by going to Add a Dog -> Add a Litter from the menu.

*Please note changes to the database have to be approved by an Admin in order to be published. Please allow us 24 hours to approve changes before messaging us. *

We would love for breeders and owners to update data for their dogs. This database is a wonderful tool to track health information, find breeders, and find studs. Data is gathered from litters world wide and is completed to the best of our ability. Dates of birth may be slightly off on some because research to populate some litters is done by data gathering and date of birth may be best estimate if not provided. If you have correct information please submit the changes! This database is only as complete as the public makes it along with our own research!
