Wife’s car getting a little closer to completion this weekend. She even got dirty this weekend turning wrenches with me.
Removed all the accessories from the old motor and put them on the new. Shout out to my man Peter Ricchio for the damper puller/installer tool. Appreciate you my friend.

We finally purged most of all the reptile supplies. This is what’s left.
1 - 6’x30”x18” sliding glass door 1/2” pvc enclosure with heat. -$350
1 - Extra large incubator made out of HDPE. Holds 600 retic eggs and has incubated 100’s of successful clutches of eggs. Has two strips of heat in the back and has a rolling platform. 4 doors for access to top and bottom with shelving. Roughly 7’x4’x2’. -$500 This was $1,500 originally.

We walked into our reptile room last night and we saw this goofball sleeping in this position. This was taken shortly after the lights were turned on and he opened his eyes. 😂 Love their personalities.
Wanted to share a new venture we are undertaking.
We still have our slithery friends as well as our 4 legged long tailed babies so we can still help with all of that and still plan to offer top quality reptiles moving forward.

This post comes with a heavy heart.
As some most likely have experienced and others could possibly experience, we at T&A XoTICS will share the more difficult part of this hobby.
We have 2 of the 3 oldest Amels in this country that we know of. Both over 15 years old. Scott Hobson has the other and is the sister to our oldest girl who we call Big Mama.
Anyway, she (Big Mama) has been a beautiful animal and has provided amazing clutches for us and the previous owner. For example, last season she gave us 85 pearly whites. We have been trying to add marble into the Amel mix and thought we were succesful this year. We saw multiple locks and witnessed a huge ovulation. This male is a stud and had sired 3 clutches prior to this season so we were confident with all the locks that he was succesful.
After waiting 53 days since pre-lay shed, She started to drop eggs. She had us worried with the long wait, but seeing the first egg out made us smile. The First few out didn’t look so good as in not viable. Fingers crossed she was just pushing those out first.
Sadly, she filled 3 tubs with eggs and not one is viable unfortunately. At least from the looks of it.
To say we are heartbroken would be an understatement. We wanted to pass her legacy on with a new mix to it as well. More importantly than not having viable eggs is the fact that she doesn’t seem to be doing well today. Very labored breathing and just not herself at all.
Yes she just laid eggs, but normally she bounces right back after a clutch. This one is completely different.
We weren’t going to breed her after last year, but my wife and I talked
Many many hours about it over the course of the spring and summer and decided to try again with the marble and pass on her legacy with new babies. Maybe a bad decision, maybe not. However, it’s what we decided to do and we did.
She will now be retired for good and left to enjoy the rest of her life without having to worry about pushing out eggs anymore and the energy it takes to carry eggs.
We wanted to share that this hobby isn’t always positive when it comes to breeding and you do have some lows. This is a big low for us, but it’s how the cards play sometimes.
We are hopeful she makes a full recovery from this and can enjoy life with us and us with her. She is A gorgeous and very docile girl that we treasure very much.

Hey everyone. It’s been awhile since we posted. Life has been hectic with a new puppy and a new lizard to get acclimated. It’s been a fun journey though and we have zero regrets.
With that said, we are offering 20% off the month of Sept for everyone. Shane personally delivered her along with a couple others while he came to visit our facility and have a first hand look at our Purple Sunfire and Marble Het purple babies. He even assisted with sexing them which was pretty cool to let someone else get tagged by these little boogers while doing so. 🤣 Thanks for taking a few nips for the team Sir.
With that said, we have huge hopes for this girl and have started intros already. So far she seems receptive, but time will tell.
These pics are right after she arrived from her road trip. A little stretch session. She is an absolute sweetheart too even out in the elements.
This guy here will be putting in work this next breeding session. Has some really unique silver coming through on his upper third of his body. With each shed it has become More vibrant and continues to work its way down his body. See how it plays out as he continues to grow.

We have big plans for this girl when she gets bigger. The camera does not do her justice at all unfortunately. Her colors are amazing.
One of the 3 oldest Albino Amels in the country taking a little soak. She loves her bath time. This girl is 15 years old now and enjoyable to work with actually.
The near future she will have a custom enclosure built for her and our other Albino Amel that is a year younger than her.
We will get some pics of them both out and about in the coming weeks.
With the ever changing world of retics and life itself, we sometimes have to evaluate what our priorities are and goals within this amazing hobby.
With that said, we have been downsizing quite a bit lately to help in our quest to produce high quality retics and share the love we have with others. We will be downsizing yet again to focus on just a few specific genes so that we can hopefully achieve the goals we have set forth for us here at T & A XoTICS.
