Another clutch in the icubator! Minnow here honestly caught us off guard. Partially, I didn't expect her to go and we've also been very distracted by the move. More updates to come... first batch of eggs should be hatching at the start of next month.

Hey guys, apologies for no egg updates. We just submitted a contract for a bigger home (more snake room!!) So life has been pretty busy here.

Unfortunately, all of the axanthic eggs from last month have expired. My only explanation is she was a first time mom, the majority looked drastically different by day 3. Mom's doing great and took back to food instantly.

On to better news, clutch #2 just dropped! Mother is a Lesser Clown :) tried something different this time, we candled the eggs first thing and made sure the embryos were on top. Typically we would stick with mom's natural positioning, but breeders have reported healthier more robust babies this orientation.

We had a lot of bad luck with this clutch- just tossed out the final remaining egg. I can only guess they were bad from the beginning, as it only took a couple days for the first egg to turn. It happens and can't be helped, we're hopeful to announce the arrival of the next clutch very soon.

We just had our first clutch of the year from one of our first time moms River, who gave us 6 beautiful eggs!
For this clutch we're aiming to get some Axanthic babies, but we'll need to wait 60 days to see what we get!
Sire (Button): Banana Axanthic Pied
Dam (River): Vanilla Spider Axanthic
We also chose a water theme for the eggs, who do you think will hatch first Whirlpool, Wave, Snowflake, Icecube, Droplet or Ocean?
I'm rooting for Droplet!

Our Axanthic, River, just peeled. Tentative due date for her is may 8th. 👀

Next runner up for eggs is Miss Umbra (older photo, sorry), but I'd take this one with a little salt. Everything about this girl has been difficult since day 1. She was a troublesome eater as a baby and her attitude has earned her the nickname "Bitch Snake."

Hognose photoshoot! We own these with an Illinois endangered species permit, they are just (highly adored) pets! 😍

We have 7 total, but the last one, Milkshake, has been placed in jail for finger gobbling. Her mugshot may or may not come later.

Thank you for your incredible support!
As we wrap up our first year in this journey, we started with 19 amazing snakes, and now only a small handful remain. While we won't be at shows until our next hatchlings arrive, we still have a few incredible snakes available for shipping or local pickup.

It's upgrade time!
We decided to experiment for the first time with making a 3D background as well as a bioactive environment!
Took a few different tutorials to get it right, but we're super happy with how it turned out 🎉
But who could be getting this fancy new habitat?
Well, the lucky snakes who just moved in are the Greenies, our 3 Florida Rough Green Snakes, and it looks like their loving it! ❤️

Meet Pancake!
Our newest breeding size female ball python from Reptile Kreations

She is a beautiful Mojave 100% het Tri-Stripe, who we'll be pairing to Egg our male Albino 100% het Tri-Stripe, to make some stunning babies for the upcoming breeding season!

We have some updates on a few of our new additions!

(Please ignore the dirty bedding, they might be small but they make a lot of mess!)

This group is made up of Garter Snakes from a few different localities. Unlike most snakes, they benefit from having social interactions with each other, so it’s beneficial for them to have others group up with. Once they get bigger, we plan to split them up into groups of their own kind for breeding.

Two of these are Florida blues- they will get neon blue racing stripes down their sides with age. The other is an eastern garter snake- visually, not all that interesting, but she secretly carries the melanistic gene, which is a completely black snake!

Though our final one is a special case. He was deprived of oxygen during birth, and it made him a little goofy. He doesn’t quite understand the difference of up or down… a little startling at first, but he otherwise functions normally and we love him all the same ❤️

All of our garters have a lion king name theme. We’ve named the red guy + the eastern Timon and Pumbaa, but we're stumped on the two blue ones.

Any suggestions?

He found a new forever home in Texas where he can get all the love, care and attention he needs.

We discovered Plankton on Craigslist earlier this year. Intrigued by his missing eye, we met up with the seller and realized the situation was worse than we thought. Not only is he missing his eye (probable birth defect), we found him living in a broken glass tank held together with duct tape and his own filth. He came to us with a lack of appetite and mild scale rot on his tail.

Fortunately, this didn’t damage his spirit and Plankton is a relatively happy snake now and would be a really good pet. His wobble is on the severe side, and definitely aggravated by the missing eye, so feeding him is a tad tricky. He eats frozen thaw and to be honest we just rest it in the enclosure with him and he will come find it without all the stress of making him hunt for it. I think he’d prefer to be a snake that it just left alone and watched, I wouldn’t get him out for a ton of handling.

Plankton has seen the vet and his scale rot has completely gone away, so I’m comfortable finding a new home for him. Please don’t mind if we are a little picky- I want to make sure the buyer understands his needs as a handicapped snake.

Meet our 2 new tri-colour hognoses, Loona and Octavia, all the way from California!
These girls are almost fully grown, so hopefully, we'll be getting some cute baby hogs in the next breeding season!
