We are happy to announce that the results of the European Chongqing Dog Club online show, judged by Mr. Franki Leung, are in!
Please take into account that judging was based solely on pictures and videos and the adjacent comments are based on this information. However, it is a great learning opportunity for all of us.
We would like to thank you for your participation and for your patience!
Congrats to all of you for your involvement with your dogs and to the winners of this event.
Results for the online show:
Laizhou Hong
1.Tinka (female)
Ear set well, good head proportion. Nice front with sufficient width. The skin of the cheek could be a bit more tighter. (Winner bitch)
2.Lio (male)
Nice head expression, ear set well. Well balance body and correct tail set. The depth of the chest could be better. (Winner dog & BOB)
3.Laika (female)
Ear set wide apart but nice head proportion. Too much room in between elbow and rib cage. Depth of chest could be better. The rear angulation seems to be insufficient.
Chuandong Hound
4.Man Fen (female)
Nice feminine head. Correct scissor bite with a solid bluish tongue. Well angulated front and rear. The body could be a touch shorter. Nice tail set. (Winner bitch)
5.Bock (male)
Loved his head and super front assembly. Good strong neck and set well on the shoulder. Nice front and well angulated. Presented a good topline but body could be a touch shorter. (Winner dog & BOB)
Chongqing Dog
6.Fiona (puppy female)
Ear set high, the face is a bit snippy. Perfect reverse scissor bite. The eyes appear white on the corner, hope it will be improved upon her maturity. Nice front angulation but the rear could be better. Length of the body are rather too long. Straight and good length of the tail. ( Best puppy bitch)
7.Enzo (puppy male)
Ear set well and big round eyes. The muzzle could be shorter. Presented a good outline, with a prominent forechest and held a firm back. Well angulated. Would prefer a bit shorter of the body. ( Best puppy male )
8.Rouse (Junior female)
Ear set well but the muzzle is a bit long. Nice front but the body rather too long. Prefer more angulation at the rear. ( 2nd place )
9.China (Junior female)
Good proportion of head and correct reverse scissor bite. The front could be more width. Strong neck and set well on the shoulder. Too much fall behind the shoulder. Will prefer more width at the front. Correct front angulation but the rear are a bit straight. Body are far too long even though is a bitch. ( Best Junior female )
10.Shiano Shen (Junior male)
Typical youngster who got a lovely head and expression. Good neck & shoulder placement with a good topline but slightly long in body. Well angulated front and rear. ( 3rd place )
11.Reks (Junior male)
Nice head with a strong under jaw. The eyes shown too much white on the corner. A bit too straight on the shoulder and the hocks seems a bit too close. Body could be shorter. Tailset high. ( 4th place )
12.Niu Lang (Junior male)
Loved his head & expression with a good eye. Ear set high and ideal size of the ear. Nice strong neck but the body could be shorter. Rear angulation could be better. Correct tail set and typical “bamboo shoots “ shaped of tail. (2nd place)
13.Jet (Junior male)
Good proportion of head and set well on the shoulder. Front and rear well angulated. Lovely top line. Sufficient width of the front. Tail sets high. ( Best Junior male )
14.Tai Yang ( Intermediate female)
Lovely head. Excellent front construction going into a strong topline and loin with a well set and carried tail, well muscled. ( Best Intermediate female )
15.Rosie (Intermediate female)
Feminine head. Prefer more width at the front. Correct tail set. Slightly long in body.
( 3 rd place )
16.Rooze ( Intermediate female)
Reasonable size of head but the under jaw looks like not in a right place. Can’t really tell her body structure by those photos. ( 4 th place )
17.DiaoChan ( Intermediate female )
Can’t see much from the two photos. Obviously she got a feminine lovely head with strong pigmentation but the front too board. ( 2 nd place )
18.Yingus ( Intermediate male )
Nice size of the head but the eye shown too much white on the corner. It really ruin the head expression. Elbows should be more tighter to rib cage. Due to the dog wasn’t in condition from the photos which hardly decides the tail is on the right position. ( 3 rd place )
19.Wanli ( Intermediate male )
The head looks a bit plain. Nice neck and well set on the wither. Good front quarter and strong topline. Excellent shaped of tail and carriage. ( 2nd place )
20.Sam ( Intermediate male )
Lovely masculine head with a big round eyes and nice sizes of ears. Strongly built body. Can’t really comments by the other photos of others feature. ( Best Intermediate male )
21.Zhi Nu ( Open female )
Classical head, nice strong neck and well muscled body. Tailset high and typical shape of tail. ( Best Open female )
22.T’Mei Li ( Open female )
Feminine head. Front and rear are well angulated. Unfortunately the Black and Tan colour are breach the breed standard. ( Disqualify)
23.Shen ( Open female )
Good head expression. If the ears are a bit smaller could be perfect. Elbow slightly lose from the rib cage. Good shaped of tail and set high. ( 5 th place Open female)
24.Scarlet ( Open female )
Beautiful head expression with lovely sized of ears. Well angulated front and rear. The body could be shorter but it got a strong level topline. Tail set high and beautiful shaped of the tail. ( 2nd Open female )
25.Nives ( Open female )
The ears set low on the skull which ruin the head expression. Good forequarter and hindquarter with a strong topline. The length of the body could be a bit shorter. Tail set high ( 4 th place female )
26.Lirka ( Open female )
Good size of ear set well on the skull. Feminine head expression. Too board at the front. Nice shaped of tail. Can’t see much to decide the rest of the body by this photo. ( 3 rd place Open female)
27.Tao ( Open male )
Reasonable size of head. Good proportion of the body but slightly roach on the back. Would like to see more angulation on the front and rear. Tail set high. ( 3 rd place Open male )
28.Tang Qiu ( Open male )
Masculine head and lovely expression. Fall too much behind the shoulder. Well angulated front and rear. Nice tail carriage. ( 4 th place Open male )
29.Lucky ( Open male )
Good proportion of head. Masculine built of dog but the front are too board. Well angulated front and rear. Tail set high. ( 2 nd place Open male )
30.Khan ( Open male )
Masculine head, ears set high & well developed under jaw. Beautiful front and correct tail carriage. ( Best Open male )
31.Xing Wang ( Champion female )
Pretty girl with a lovely head & expression, she is balanced with an excellent neck, shoulders & good tailset. ( Beat of Champion female )
32.Mangzi ( Champion male )
Strong head, strong neck settle well on the shoulder. Nice front and hindquarter.
But the body could be shorter. ( Best of Champion male )

Notes:
In general, I would like to suggest the breeders few directions to breed in their future breeding program:
1. Body proportion could be shorter, in general the specimen looks long.
2. The tail is the breed characteristic, bamboo shoots tail is the ideal type.
3. improve the hindquarters angulation.
4. Aware the black & tan gene in the breed.
5. Solid bluish tongue to achieve the breed characteristic.
