Hello everyone!
We hope youâve all had a lovely Christmas and Holiday Season so far.
We are rapidly approaching the end of 2024 now, with just a few hours to go, and of course some countries are already celebrating the start of 2025.
We couldnât let these few final hours of 2024 go without a few more words. We wanted to thank each and every one of you with all our hearts, for your support this year, whether youâve donated, shared, liked or given us any other help. Itâs been a very tough year for the world in so many ways, but we so appreciate your help along our journey to improve life for the animals in Taiz, and especially for showing the zoo that you care and want to make a difference. The animals and people of Taiz Zoo are not forgotten.
We are attaching a video straight from the Zoo Director in Taiz to thank you all for your support. There will be new projects in 2025, and hopefully this year we can do more for the Arabian leopards. We thank everyone at the zoo for working with us, especially the Zoo Director, and everyone at the zoo for looking after and caring for the animals in such difficult circumstances. We are thinking of you all and your families in Taiz as we start the new year. You are always in our hearts and prayers.
Our thoughts are with you and your families. Hereâs to peace, good health and happiness for you all in 2025.
All best wishes
Diane and Sally and everyone at Taiz Zoo
Hello Everyone, we just received many new videos of the lions and Arabian Leopards. We would like to make a short movie in the coming days, but here is one to wish you a nice weekend and thanking everyone for not forgetting them and giving them a better life in war times in Yemen.
We have done so much for them and we together we can continue to work on project basis for the Taiz Zoo in 2025. THANK-YOU.

Hi everyone,
We hope you've all had a good weekend.
We wanted to let you know that the zoo now has vitamins and minerals for the animals - there are more to come - and they've sent us this video to say a very big thank you to all of you who supported this appeal. The zoo really appreciates it, and so do we - and so do the animals!
Thank you all again
Best wishes

Hi everyone,
We hope you've all had a good weekend.
We wanted to let you all know that we have been in touch with the Director at #Taiz #Zoo this morning and that everyone there - animals and people - are okay and safe. The Director said that also the zoos at Sana'a and Ibb are okay too. What a time Yemen is going through - they have had the heavy rains as well as everything else. As you can imagine, the people and animals in #Taiz are very much in our thoughts and prayers. They really appreciate all your support and interest.
The urgent project to do maintenance on the #lions enclosure is progressing, as you can see from the vidoe. A big THANK YOU to all those doing the work and also to everyone who has supported and continues to support our work at the zoo. We still need donations to make sure we can take care of the animals, so please donate if you can at our Ko-Fi page.

Hi everyone,
So work on the new project is underway - the zoo has made a start. The project is a really urgent one, doing maintenance for the #lions enclosure in #Taiz zoo. It's been a vital thing to do for everyone's safety, the lions and people.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project, and also to those in the zoo doing the work.
We'll keep you up to date of the progress being made. Please keep supporting us at our Ko-Fi page:

Hello everyone,
We hope you're all keeping well.
We have an urgent request from the zoo to repair and reinforce the outdoor enclosure for the lions. This is a huge safety request; the project is not cheap â it is $3,200 - and you can see why this is urgent request and necessary to keep them living outdoors. Without it, the lions cannot be outdoors. Maintenance of all the enclosures is necessary from time to time. The zoo needs to install 16mm strong iron for all sides of the enclosure along its length.
Thank you for any support you can give us â please donate at our Ko-Fi.com page and help keep the lions and people safe!

Hello everyone,
We hope you're all having a good weekend and that the weather is being kind to you.
Did you know that it's #WorldLionDay today? It's a chance to celebrate the incredibly majestic and beautiful lion, so the zoo has kindly sent us some photos and videos of the #lions in #Taiz. They are much happier now that they are outside - and that's thanks to you, to everyone who has supported us along the way in improving the quality of life for both the lions and all the animals in Taiz. We so appreciate your support and help, as does the zoo.
Don't forget that we have a twitter account - oops, sorry, I mean an X account - and a You Tube channel too and you can find us at:

Let's ROAR for the lions in Taiz! A big thank you to the zoo for looking after them and everyone, we're thinking of you. Please keep safe.
All best wishes

Here is a chance to make the Arabian Leopards lives better at Taiz Zoo Yemen right away. The zoo has 1 of these trees and needs many many more. The one they have is 20 years old. This is life improvement project.
âWe are aware of the long term goal, like the lions, to get them out. This is our Mt. Everest due to cost and we need to try to get groups to help but this is a long term goal. The zoo must continue on caring for the animals and this is one thing they really would like as the cats would have a much better life.

Hello everyone,
We hope you're all having a good weekend so far. Our apologies for the lack of updates recently. All is well at the Zoo and the people and animals are okay, they are safe.
Today, we have received this video of these kitties who the zoo is looking after - a number of pets made their way to Taiz Zoo during the war and the zoo is looking after them as best they can.
We are looking at a couple of projects for the Arabian leopards, so please bear with us, we know this is a long time coming!
Thank you as always for your support
All best wishes
