Sir Duncan’s Journey

Hi, I’m Duncan. I was rescued by Mutts2Majesty Rescue, I was alone and scared when Cumberland County Animal Control picked me up. Bobbi and Robin were contacted by the facility to come and see me. Well, it’s safe to say that we all fell in love immediately! I was pulled from CCAC and I was Heartworm positive. I don’t know what that means but I was taken to the vet so that I could be checked out further. I was very skinny because I had no one to feed me when I was out there on the streets all alone. I was very itchy and they told me that I was loosing my hair on my butt because I was having a flea allergy. I was sad, underweight, loosing my hair and I needed a good bath.

I was adopted in November 2018 and I stayed with my family up until my Rescue family said they would take me back and get me the medical attention that I needed. Bobbi and Robin came to pick me up and took me to the Dr where they gave me all kinds of medicines to help make me feel better. They said I had a UTI/Prostate infection and it was making me p*e in the house. My adopter thought that I was just going through the process of dying since I am an old guy. But.... I was not. I needed medicine to make me feel better and stop p*eing in the house. I would p**p in the house too because it hurt me so bad to stoop to p**p that I would hold it until it just started coming out. The Dr. gave me medicine for my joints, Miss Bobbi started giving me CBD oil and I am a changed man! Okay, I know I’m a senior but I feel so much better now. I dance whenever someone comes to visit me and Allison....Allison and I have this special relationship. I love her so much!

Mutts2Majesty Rescue is compiling a “Bucket List” for me. They said that they want to make the rest of my days as perfect as possible. They are looking for sponsors to help with my monthly expenses. It is going to cost $450 per month to take care of me. I know that is a lot and I feel terrible but they told me it is necessary and they will do everything in their power to make sure I get what I need. I will be on medications for my joints and pain for the rest of my life. I will also have to be on the special food that is for my joints. It costs $100 for just 32 pounds of food. WOW! That’s a lot. $200 a month just for my food. I could eat steaks daily for that kinda money... Robin is going to try to reach out to Purina and see if we can get some kind of deal on my food.

**my story will be completed soon**
