Many of the dogs we try to help come from people that truly want all the help they can get for their dogs. The Cobos family has several dogs that they cannot spay/neuter because the cost of it is outrageous for lower income families. You would not believe how long people wait for their dogs chances to be spayed. We are a small outreach group, but helping stop the reproduction of these animals is imperative! These people love their dogs, they just do not have the money and means like so many people in this country do!

See pass the chains. See pass the dog. And see the actual suffering. We are all quick to judge. We all are quick to ignore the problem. The problem isn’t the chain. The problem isn’t even the owner. The problem is that a dog was born to be on a chain. We let him down before he was placed on a chain. We let him down the second he was allowed to be created. And as a society forced him to live this way. We welcome suffering each time a puppy is born.

The painful life of a puppy. He suffered from blunt force trauma weeks ago! The internal damage to his body left him suffering in agonizing pain. He sat under an 18 wheeler taking cover from the sun. He was destined to die. Yet he continued. He survived. He was found during our vaccination event this past weekend. He was taken straight to the vet where it was discovered a hernia on his lungs making it painful to breathe. After a $7000 surgery, he is now recovering. It is not cheap to rescue dogs. But the lucky ones have advocates that do not stop fighting for them. Gus had fox.

Blacky was in heat 3 weeks ago. She was being impregnated by dogs. Today, she went into be spayed. She is a little drowsy but it does not compare to having to go through a hard birth giving birth to future strays. No more puppies. No more pain.

Chocolate went to be spayed today. It was discovered she was pregnant. She will not experience “motherhood.” Dogs do not feel “motherhood.” They are animals. Their “maternal behaviors” are driven by hormones for the need of species survival. Nothing more. Dogs have overpopulated to the point of being abused, neglected and painful homelessness. Chocolate will never contribute to the suffering of her species thanks to her owner taking her to be spayed.

Tango can now go dancing on the weekends without having to worry about getting pregnant. A few days of recovering after her spay today and she will be ready. 💃🏽 After a late cancellation, her owner hurried to get Tango in for her life changing surgery! No puppies. No pain.

Tito is a blockhead that enjoys all the traits of a bully. D***y. Happy. Loving. Loyal. Gentle. Forgiving. Courageous. Mostly, courageous. He has to be in order to endure a life chained. Not a single human on this earth is strong-willed to live Tito’s life.

Tito lives with his 5 siblings. All chained close by. One pregnant. Yes, she was r***d on that chain. Tito and the boys were forced to watch their sister be r***d over and over during her heat cycle. Does this mean she will give birth on that chain? Possibly. The solution is simple. But costly. Spay and neuter.
