Fun day at Split Oak schooling show today ❤️
Caspian playing the hunter ring today at Split Oak Farm. Proud of how far this lovely boy has come over the last few months. What a fun day with perfect horse show weather!
Florida weather 🌧️
Caspian and I were very grateful to be able to ship over to a covered arena during all this rainy weather! Isn’t this supposed to be dry season?!?

Sometimes at the end of a long day, when things aren’t going as planned, you just have to laugh 😂 Oh Vinny, not sure this one will make it your sales ad, but you’re awfully adorable ❤️
Yearling loading up to head home after 60 days of training 🥰
This lovely warmblood yearling is heading home after 60 days of training. So rewarding to watch them grow with confidence, but always sad to see them go. The future is bright for this fancy boy.
Having some fun with Ellie today as we wrap up 2022 and welcome in a new year. Wishing everyone all the best for 2023 🥂 🦄 🎉
Valeska really working the smile for this delicious Christmas treat. Thank you to The Faire Equestrian for the yummy cookies Equine Confections 🍪🎄😁#saycheese Katie Malensek
Starting young horses doesn’t need to be full of bucking or bolting. It is amazing what patience, clear communication, and some positive reinforcement can accomplish in just a few short sessions. Here is a 3 year old ISH wearing a saddle for the first time like a rockstar after arriving to his owner from Ireland only one week ago 🤩 I love giving young horses the tools they need to feel confident and relaxed while learning to accept new things. Building a solid foundation for a promising future for this lovely sport horse. 🐎
Alabama TIP Challenge trail class
Carter’s trail class from the Alabama TIP Challenge 🐴 ❤️
Showmanship class
Great first day of competing at the Alabama TIP Challenge with Carter. He is currently leading the Adult TIP division and the Novice In Hand division of the open show after showmanship and trail classes. ❤️
One of Carter’s favorite things to do is the teeter totter, likely because it doesn’t require being touched by the human 🤣 Proud of this brave-ish boy! ❤️
Carter learning sideways and towards me
One of my favourite things to teach is ‘sideways towards’ and Carter thinks it’s pretty fun too! This little mustang is so smart ❤️ #26daystogo #tipchallenge
Carter’s doing so well with leading and playing around with some obstacles. I love how confident he is becoming ❤️
Vinny has joined the rest of our little herd in their field and he is already teaching the domesticated horses about cooling off in the pond 🤦🏻♀️🤣
There’s going to be a shiney new mustang under all of that hair! Carter’s going to feel like a new man. 😍
Vinny making progress with wearing a halter and he has also started leading around the pen. We even ventured out of his pen today, which was a little more exciting than I hoped for, but it gives us some homework to work on with building his confidence. His sweet little bay friend is trying to be brave too, but still needs some time to get used to us strange humans. Overall really happy with only being Day 6 👍🐴❤️
