Parvo Survivors 💪

W***y and Waylon are finally over the parvo hurdle!

Waylon is pending adoption but W***y (brown) will soon be looking for his home. Small breed, mom is about 15lbs. Chihuahua mix is my guess.

W***y is full of s***k, super playful and always on the go. He definitely dominates Waylon and likes to get his way. Toys are so much fun and he loves dragging them behind him as he zooms around the room.

Tweety Bird (in the back) Blue Jay and Dove (second picture) 🕊🐦

These guys were trapped after it was noticed they had injuries. Both Blue Jay and Tweety Bird had old wounds from botfly. They were cleaned up at our vets and are healing up nicely.

Our original plan of TNRing them changed once we realized how young and easily tameable they were (minus Dove who still hates us) so they're now looking for homes. Tested negative for Felv/FIV, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated.

Dove is going to foster to work on her social skills but Tweety Bird and Blue Jay are available for adoption (and/or foster)

Unfortunately this little family was diagnosed with Parvo not even 24 hours after arrival. 💔

We have lost two pups and honestly I'm a little pi**ed off and beyond devastated. Parvo is one of the worst ways to die and can be prevented with vaccines and cleanliness. It's been a very long and stressful week over something that never should have happened. Even with treatment it's a very deadly disease and vet bills add up quickly. Everyone is on multiple meds as well as getting fluids, I'm just hoping the remaining two pups can beat this. 🙏

I'm sorry Pip and Johnny, that this happened to you and that I couldn't do enough to save you.

This little handsome dude is Deaffrey ♥

He's almost two years old, s***ky and lovable. We're looking for a home with deaf dog experience. He has severe crate anxiety so someone who is home most of the time would be best. Deaffrey chases kitties but only to play with them. He has done great with kids and most dogs.

♥️ This sweet and s***ky girl is Lilly. She's full of life and loves to play. She's done great with the other dogs but can play pretty rough sometimes so a bigger dog friend would be best. She's also been introduced to cats and is currently living with some. She does good and will follow them around without harassing them to much, like any puppy though she needs guidance and direction.

Yes, puppies ARE cute. No matter where they come from, we know they're cute.

What about the moms (and dads) though? Often, from puppy mills and back yard breeders the parents suffer tremendous neglect and abuse. They live to breed and that's that.

This mom is Jolene and she was lucky enough to be saved from slowly dying in hell. She's a senior and obviously has no business being a mother at her age or in her condition. This group is coming soon but will need some time before being ready for adoption. Yes, the pups are cute, but we ask that you remember Jolene is just as special. ♥️

We have a 9ish year old chihuahua mix with 4 pups (😔) coming into the rescue this weekend. Pups are not old enough to leave mom yet and mom is being very protective right now. It would be nice to have fosters ready for everyone when the time comes. Message/Email with foster offers and any questions.

Our page has been pretty quiet lately as I have delt with a great personal loss of my grandma. We still have adoptable animals though and I'm getting back to applications, emails and messages as I can. As always, thank you for the continued support of the rescue and all our fur babies. ♥️

Someone passed this onto us and we thought it was a great idea to share.
With the 4th of July right around the corner we tend to get several calls about dogs getting out, and owners frantically trying to find them. We ask that you make sure your dogs have their collars on, updated contact information on their licenses, or do something similar to the picture below !
We can not scan for microchips. We do not have a scanner, and if the vets offices are closed, we will have to transport any found dogs that are unclaimed to Lake County Dog Shelter.
We love our community fur babies and want to make sure they are safe! 🐾💕

First order of FIP treatment ordered!

I'm thankful for being in a position to be able to help Mr. Twist (Walter 🩷) through this very long and rough time. Treatment is 12 weeks long.

Thankful for our vets and thankful that FIP treatment is now available.

Sometimes animals just don't fit in at their foster homes and that's OK.

It doesn't mean they're bad pets or something is wrong with them.

Just like humans, they have feelings, wants and needs. It's up to us to provide that, the best we can in rescue. Although it isn't always easy and sometimes feels downright impossible with limited space and fosters we always try to make sure our adoptable animals can really settle in and be comfortable. Especially the ones we know will unfortunately be with us for a long time.

Mary Jane had to live in a home with dogs and multiple other cats, for months and never fully settled in. It was the only choice we had at the time as no one offered to foster her. We could tell that underneath the nerves and stress that she truly is a very lovable and playful kitty. So, when we got an offer for a cat foster who has no other pets she popped into mind. We decided to take a chance in hopes she would truly find peace and happiness in a much calmer home. The move wasn't easy for Mary Jane (or her foster I'm sure) and she stopped eating, for days. As you can tell from the picture, she really likes to eat so this was pretty nerve-wracking. I honestly felt guilty for her world being turned upside down again. Finally with some time, persistent and patience her foster mom got her to eat and come out of hiding on day 5.

And today, she adopted her so she never has to go through this again. 💕 She is now relaxing and enjoying a calmer home, just like we hoped she would.

Today was day 30, so it was retesting day.

All 4 of these babies are now Negative!!!

They've grown so much already, but could still benefit from socialization. They're starting to turn into little purring machines and definitely need homes of their own. 🩷

We’re in need of a kitten foster/s!

We have 4 little six week old spicy babies in need of all the cuddles they can get. They were found on the side of the road, with nothing but a blue tote around.

2 boys and 2 girls - they did test positive for FIV but are young enough to potentially clear it. They will be retested to confirm this as they grow.

Kittens can test positive for FIV due to antibodies passed from mom through nursing so we will test again in 30 days. We need a foster for at least those 30 days. 🙏🏻 🙏🏻

Even if they remain positive, cats can live very happy healthy lives with FIV.

We still have these tabby kitties looking for homes. All are fully vetted 🩷

Tito and Malibu are siblings but don't have to go together. They're shy at fist but are both lovey once they settle in. Good with other cats. 😺 😽

Mary Jane needs time to settle into her surroundings but is also very lovable. Best as only pet. ♥

Momma is quirky in the sense that she with smother you with love, roll on your lap, knead her heart out.. but only if you're sitting down. During the day she will kind of avoid you. Good with other cats and dogs. 😻

‼️If you can't donate, the next best way to help that EVERYONE CAN DO is share ‼️

Rescue is not cheap or easy. In fact it's mentally and financially draining. This is our bill for the three pups that arrived from Kentucky.

People complain about the cost of adoption fees but don't realize most adoption fees don't even cover the cost of vetting for that pet.

We also have a kitty with FIP who is being treated and needs to continue his treatment. This treatment is not cheap but their lives are worth it. The rest of his treatment will go over $1,000.

If you can donate towards vet care it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount adds up and no amount is to small. Thank you for the continued support you've shown us. With out volunteers and donations, none of this would be possible. 🩷
