Check out what River is up to these days! She looks so good with a rider! I'm so proud of the progress she's made since I saw her last. If any of you fell in love with her last winter here's your chance to take her home!

Meet River, a 4yr old, 13.3 hand Mustang mare from the Beatys Butte HMA in Oregon. River is a super sweet mare with a big personality and the looks to die for! She has good conformation and a lovely stride on her. She would excel in pretty much any direction you want to take her and loves adventures! She is the perfect size to become an exceptional youth mount but is big enough for a smaller adult to ride. She has had several rides bare back and this week she has officially started going under saddle. She is doing super well learning how to steer, stop, back up, and moving forward at the walk and trot. She picks up all four feet, stands tied to be brushed and tacked up, is light in the halter and is awesome at lunging in all 3 gaits. She has lots of try and would be a great training project for a motivated teen to finish her training. She is naturally curious and confident and meets you at the gate. We strive to make every ride on our youngsters a positive and confidence building experience that sets them up for success. River is a truly exceptional girl but at this point in her training we will not be allowing test rides on her. River is not titled yet so requires an approved BLM application. We are asking a training fee that will increase as her training continues so scoop her up quick!

Hey everyone! I've been pulled so many different directions lately I just realized I never shared with you guys how much money we raised (nearly entirely through donations!) with River's sale. I'll tell you I myself am shocked and humbled by how much people got behind me in this and what the number actually was when I finally counted it all up! It is significantly higher than I was expecting! It's amazing to me how God can take $25 (that's how much I made from her sale) and multiply it to this. HUGE thank you to everybody who chose to donate to help me support Acres of Hope Youth Ranch I'm incredibly blessed by your generosity. When you trust God, he provides, even if it's not in the way you were expecting.

Through the faithfulness and generosity of many people we were able to raise $1,900 to help reach hurting kids with the message that they matter, they are loved, and they belong. ♥ Thank you for joining me in this incredible journey!

Hey everybody! You remember my biggest supporters with River!? Apparently they got bit by the Mustang bug because Ken decided to get one of his own for the summer! Check out his page here to follow this adorable little guy's progress!! I can't wait to see the fun they have this summer! 😁

Picked up tag 7701 yesterday. He is so little! He seems very calm given all of the changes in his life!
I was able to work with him for two short sessions and he reacted very well.

Ok! Grand reveal! I am beyond happy with River's new family! She is going to the family of Sierra FarmerGirl, another trainer from our competition (she did super well with her mustang, Glamor!) She has trained many mustangs and will be able to help River reach her best possible potential. I am super excited that River went to her family because she has the skill and experience working with wild mustangs to be able to tackle River's tough areas and patience and persistence to not rush her faster than she is ready for. Exactly the kind of person I hoped would adopt River!!

So much to share! Today was my last day with River. She did fantastic at the auction and we got to run around like a little girl with her pony and just have fun and show off some of the stuff she can do. She did not end up selling for as much as I had hoped BUT after the sale bid was final the auctioneer announced to the crowd that people can directly donate to me additionally, to help with supporting Acres of Hope Youth Ranch and so far that I know of over $500 has been donated. So a huge thank you to the community joining together to support this cause! If you are interested in donating to help me in this please let me know! I will be sharing the final amount we were able to raise when I receive the money from the sale (could take a couple weeks) and add it to what I was given in person.

River finally felt comfortable enough to lay down last night. She usually lays down to sleep every night so I'm glad she was able to do so last night. Hopefully she'll be well rested and ready to do her best the the auction today! I can't believe today is my last day with her! It has been quite the journey!

After their demonstration... It was so fun hearing support from the crowd during the event and to see so many supporters rally around to congratulate Mia and River afterwards. I didn't get pics of everyone but these and other folks braved a late night and cold arena to see them do their thing. It was exciting! So much support felt like a team win no matter what the score. Thank you for the love!

There's lots going on in the warm up arena. River is doing absolutely amazing! They say when you get to a show you can expect your horse to be about 30% of the level you're used to with all stress and energy going on there. I have yet to see how the huge crowds affect her but so far she has been the exact same horse here as I've practiced at home. Honestly better even! SO proud of you River girl!! I can't wait to go out and show everyone what you can do! Come see us tonight at the Linn County Fairgrounds!!!!! And don't forget to wear your for River!! 💙

Last full day home with River and tomorrow we're hauling in to the fairgrounds so that means..... bath time! River did amazing getting bathed and bubbled all over. I scrubbed on her mane and tail until the lovely ivory hairs are shining! Now to hope she doesn't roll too badly tonight and be decently clean looking by tomorrow. 😂 Look at that tail!! 😍
