I know it has been awhile since we have posted an update. Life has just been crazy hectic lately. Roxy is doing amazing though. We had her final appointment last week and her vet ruled it as malnutrition due to the previous owners not feeding her. Roxy started at 36 pounds and she is now up to almost 60. Her vet is happy with her body fat now but we still need to work on her building muscles. She has so much energy now that she almost acts like a puppy. Her and our son are best friends whether they are running around the living Room together, playing fetch, or just cuddling. Her personality is one of the strongest I have seen in a dog. She is my right hand dog, anywhere I go she is right by my side, unless I am at work of course. We are almost to a full recovery and we just can not wait. Thanks to everyone that has supported her through this.

Here is a set of before and after pictures of roxy so far from the day we got her and a little under two weeks later. It is a slow recovery but she is slowly starting to fill out more. She gets a total of 6 cups of food a day and treats here and there. Her biggest improvement is her personality. She has so much energy now and wants to always play. Before she would sleep away most of her days and wanted to constantly be loved. Her food aggression is improving as well. She does have moment where she will attempt to get into the kitchen to hopefully find something on the counter. We are doing our best to make sure it doesn’t happen. Again thank you to everyone that has kept her in their thoughts. She will be healthy again soon.

Hey everyone, so good news!!! All of roxy’s blood panels have come and everything looks good. No inability to absorb protein, and no cancer. Her vet now believes that her condition was due to not being fed. We have a month with no vet visits until she needs a check up to make sure that she is gaining weight at a healthy pace and starts to be healthy again. So far she has so much more energy now, her food aggression has decreased, and she is up and playing. She is still a big cuddle bug but she has been a great addition. I will post a body check this weekend so you guys can see how much she has gained so far. I hope everyone had a good holiday!

Good news, Roxy’s routine blood panel came back today and everything was normal. Now we wait for her blood test on her digestive system. Her doctor said we should hear by Monday.

Roxy loves our daily cuddles while napping on the couch time. She is such a sweet girl 😁❤️

Hey everyone, so Roxy had a follow up vet appointment with her primary doctor. Unfortunately she went from 37.4 lb to 36lb. Due to the weight loss her vet thinks her condition could be caused by something more serious. We got routine bloodwork done today and will have the results tomorrow. Tomorrow morning we are going back in to get a second set of bloodwork to check her digestion tract. Her vet believes it could possibly be an inability to absorb protein or worst case scenario it be a lymphoma in her intestines. Thank you for everyone’s support through her recovery so far. I will continue to keep everyone updated. We are hoping and praying it will be an easy recovery. So please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Hey everyone, I was called today and the police made contact with the previous owners and there is an investigator on the case. Hopefully all the right measures are taken and they are reprimanded for their actions.

This page was made because of so many people requesting updates on Roxy and her progress. This was the best way to be able to get information out to everyone. I will do weekly body checks and the results of all of her vet visits. Thank you again to everyone that has reached out and for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
