Original post: I have finally decided, after many years of contemplation, to open up my own taxidermy business. I am very excited to start this journey and get back into this side of the outdoor world.
As some of you already know, I have 4 1/2 years of taxidermy experience after working with Kathleen Nolte-Alpha Taxidermy.
For the 2020 season I will not be taking in any shoulder mount deer, but will be taking in skull bleaching and European mounts! My skull bleaching process is different from most, as I do NOT boil the skull. Boiling makes the skull very brittle and fragile. I use natural rotting and bleaching chemicals to produce a hard but beautifully white end product.
I will also be offering my skinning services. Bring me the deer and I will cape it off so that it’s ready for your taxidermist. If you are not interested in shoulder mounting your deer, I may buy your cape from you. Please message me if interested!
