2024 Updated Rules/Specs
Jumper Divisions
Itty Bitty 2’-2’3 open to all. Preliminary 2’6-2’9 open to all. Low 3’ or 3’3 (rider picks) open to all. High Jumpers 3'6 open to all.
Child/Adult Hunter Horse
Open to any horse ridden by an amateur adult or child. Horse/Rider combination may not cross enter into Low Adult/Children’s Hunter. Fence height 3’.
Professional Division
Open to any adult professional. To be judged on the horse. Choice of fence height. 2’6 or 3’. Will be run as an open card with 2’6 and 3’ hunter divisions.
Low Child/Adult Hunter Horse
Open to any horse ridden by an amateur adult or child. To be judged on the horse. Horse/Rider combination may not cross enter into Adult/Children’s Hunter. Fence height 2’6.
Junior Equitation
To be judge on position and overall ability and turnout. Course can include roll backs, trot jumps, bending lines, and/or jumper style jumps. Fence height 2’ for ponies and 2’6 for horses.
Adult Equitation
Open to adults only. To be judged on position and overall ability and turnout. Can include roll backs, bending lines, and/or jumper style jumps. Fence height 2’6.
Children’s Hunter Pony
Open to any child. To be judged on the pony. May not cross enter into Low Children’s Pony. Fence height 2’ small pony, 2’3 medium pony, 2’6 large pony.
Open Pleasure
To be judged on overall pleasurableness of the horse and rider. Fence height 2’ for ponies and 2’3 for horses.
Baby Green Hunter
Open to any horse or pony in their first or second year of showing, to be judged on the horse or pony. Only children to ride ponies. Fence height 2’3 for horses and 2’ for ponies.
Suitable Hunter
To be judged on the horse or pony, open to all. Fence height 2’3.
TB Hunter
To be judged on the horse. Open to all thoroughbreds. Fence height 2’3.
Modified Hunter
Open to any horse or pony ridden by an amateur adult or child. To be judged on the horse or pony. Fence height 2’.
Novice Equitation
Open to children and amateur adults who have not won 3 blue equitation ribbons over fences prior to December 1 of the preceding year. To be judged on position and overall ability and turnout. Fence height 2’.
Low Children’s Hunter Pony
Open to any child. To be judged on the pony. May not cross enter into Children’s Pony. Fences 2’.
Leadline
(7 years old and under)
Mini Stirrup
Open to riders 8 years and under.
Open W/T & W/T/C
Open to all. Horse/Rider combination cannot cross enter into any jumping class.
Pre-Short Stirrup
Open to riders 8 years old and under. May cross enter into any other class where jumping is not permitted.
Beginner Rider
Open to children who are in their first or second year of showing. To be judged on position and overall ability and turnout.
Open X-Rails
Open to all. Horse/Rider combination cannot cross enter into any jumping class where fences exceed 2’.
Short Stirrup Equitation
To be judged on position and overall ability and turnout. Riders must be 10 years old and under.
Short Stirrup Hunter
To be judged on the horse/pony. Riders must be 10 years old and under. Riders may cross enter into other divisions where the jumps do not exceed 2’.
Long Stirrup Hunter
Open to riders 11 years and older on horses or ponies. **Please note** Colonial points are for 18 years and over only.
