Stillwater Hypo vs Trumbower Hypo bullsnakes babies.
Cool to see how these two hypo genes differ.
Which do you prefer?
For those who have been asking, I've got a bunch of Kim's ready for new homes!
Beautiful little guys, I have unrelated clutches at identical ages for unrelated groups.
DM me.
1 month old varanus primordius available. Not sure of s*x on this one.
If you want it, get in touch with me. It won't last long!
GONE!!
I wish they stayed like this forever!
Varanus gilleni (pygmy mulga monitor) hatchlings.
6 week old probable pair of kingorum up for grabs.
A little less sure about s*x in these two as I normally am with kingorum, it could be two females. Pretty positive it's NOT two males. The smaller one was a twin which makes comparing them a little more difficult.
PM if you are interested, guaranteed these won't be around long.
GONE!
I've currently got a few SUPER TAME and well socialized green tree monitors looking to go. A month old, these guys are awesome!
Get in touch with me if you want to know more.
Young Adult Pair of Texas Indigos looking for a new spot.
The male is a beast and is absolutely gorgeous. Super nice orange chin, awesome mottled pattern. Very big. Female is a nice thick girl from Black Pearl.
DM if interested.
1.3 Christmas Mountain Sonoran Gophers looking for a new place.
1.1 are a BIG proven pair. 0.1 should be ready to breed this year and the last female probably needs another year or two.
DM if interested.
1.2 Proven Yellow Bulls looking for a new place. Male is in deep shed in pic.
1.1 Proven 2019 Kanakee Bulls looking for a new place. Very nice black pair with nice orange highlights on the female. Proven for the first time this year.
DM if you are interested.
1.4 Pitouphis Deppei Jani (Northern Mexican Pine Snake) looking for a new spot.
1.2 are (very young) adults and 0.2 sub-adults.
DM if interested.
Brought some animals back from the show this weekend, I'm looking to make a deal and move them out.
6 week old red ackies, eating (shedding) and growing like weeds.
6 months old pair of super cool gidgee skinks.
Message me if you are interested.
Making these three one month old varanus primordius available. These hatched 6/6 and are already almost half way full grown. Not as dimorphic as kingorum when young, but my guess would be 1.2.
GONE
Due to space and time constraints, I've made the difficult decision to part with my colubrid snakes. These are all my personal breeders and holdback animals. The proven breeders are young, and the raise ups are all approaching breeding age. Most are female heavy groups.
Here is most of what will be available:
1.4 pitouphis deppei janis ((2) 2020 females, (2) 2022 females)
1.3 X-Mas mountain Sonoran Gophers (1.1 proven)
2.3 2021 kanakee Bulls
1.2 Yellow Bulls (proven)
1.1 Red het Whiteside bulls (proven)
1.2 Stillwater hypo group (1.0 SW, 0.1 SW, 0.1 Red Het - all proven)
0.1 high plains bull (proven)
0.2 holdback Red Bulls 2022 and 2023
If anything interests you, shoot me a message before they hit the market.
Varanus auffenbergi, Peacock Monitor, are in my opinion one of the prettiest monitors there are. Definitely my favorite of all the odatria species. The camera doesn't quite capture their true colors, but they are phenomenal.
This is a young probable male, about 6 months old.
Probable pair of Egernia Depressa looking for a new spot.
New species alert!!!
First hatch of varanus primordius here at HDH. Pretty excited!
Updated pics of a few of the tristis orientallis babies. Still got a handful of these left looking for a new spot. Super underrated and awesome species to work with.
Some pics of the 8 month old hypo deppei deppei. The first one appears to be turning white (winter phase) and the second appears to be going the yellow variation (summer phase). A little unsure on the third one, it's early in a shed cycle in this pic. Perhaps we will know more in a week or so.
Small clutch from one of my Prasinus females today 😜.
This female and her sister normally lay 6 or 7 egg clutches. Great genetics!
First monitor babies of the year are ready for their new homes!
Ackies babies
Freckle headed babies
Probable female kingorum baby
Took Larry and Lucille out today to stretch their legs (lol) and soak up some rays.....
This is a new species for me. Old school TK/Bob Clark line super dwarf reticulated pythons. They aren't particularly small, but boy they sure are cool!!!!
Gravid prasinus sisters soaking up some morning rays. I love these two!!!
Sneak peak of some of the animals I will have with me available at the Tri-Cities Reptile Expo this weekend!
Some updated pics of the 2023 drymarchon Rubidus (Mexican Redtail Indigo) still hanging around.
I keep Easterns (from top of the line bloodlines), Texans, Guerrero rubidus, yellow tail and these Vera Cruz Rubidus. These are BY FAR the most impressive and my favorite of all the drymarchon I keep.
Can't recommend these guys enough.
Very happy with this clutch!! Varanus kingorum, the micro-monitor. Getting this species to breed has been relatively easy, but hatching healthy babies has proven challenging. These 5 are perfect!!!
We didn't hatch any helodermas last season at HDH, so I'm excited to have these guys hatch this year! These are Rio Fuerte Mexican Beaded Lizards, Heloderma H. Exasperatum.
Looks like we should have 10 perfect babies. I find these things are SOOOO adorable as hatchlings (and usually spunky)!

Yellow ackies are some of my favorites, check out how CHILL these babies are. And a cameo from zazoo at the end. #varanusacantharus #yellowackies #greenwingmacaw
Bit of a long video, but I just wanted to share my FIRST EVER monitor, Duke. He is an almost 10 year old whitethroat monitor, and as you can see from the video, he's my buddy. He demanded a little attention yesterday so I obliged. #petmonitor #varanusalbigularis #whitethroatmonitor
Just wanted to share one of my big gila boys. He just sired his first clutch of eggs this last week. He is big (biggest gila I've personally seen) and beautiful and a complete joy to work with! #gilamonster #heloderma #helodermasuspectum
Varanus gilleni, pygmy mulga monitors, might be the best pet monitor species! #varanusgilleni #pygmymulgamonitor
First clutch of ackies monitors for 2024. Start the socialization young! #varanusacanthurus #ackiemonitor
Good start to the 2024 monitor breeding season. Already have kingorum, primordius, gilleni, pilbara, red ackies, yellow ackies, Kimberly, tristis and prasinus eggs in the incubator. Wowza!!! I think I'm going to need a bigger incubator 🤣. #varanusbreeder #monitorsofinstagram #monitorbreeder #varanusacanthurus #vararanuskingorum #varanusprasinus #varanusgilleni #varanuspilbaransis #varanusprimordius #varanusglauerti #varanustristis
Just wanted to share this video of one of my female Spencers monitors, as I honestly can't get enough of them! Can't wait for another year or so when I can start pairing the male and females! #spencersmonitor #dreammonitor #varanusbreeder #australianmonitors #monitorsofinstagram
Wanted to share a video of the CB Varanus Auffenbergi produced here this summer. These are now **5 months old** (said 4 in the video) and are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. This is 3 of the 6 still here. Cannot believe these guys are hanging around. One of the prettiest varanus species in my opinion.
Happy New Years everyone!!! Had to do some last minute cage maintenance for my big male Spencer's monitor (Chuck) and realized I don't share him enough. Him and I get along pretty well, although he likes to pretend he's REALLY grumpy every time I want to touch him. But if I'm trying to do some work in his cage he always comes and bothers me by crawling up on my lap. This guy is definitely one of my favorites!!! #spencersmonitor #varanusspenceri #varanusbreeder #monitorsofinstagram #dreammonitor #highdesertherps #hdh_reptiles
Prasinus babies just over two weeks old. Nice socialized babies will be looking for their permanent residence soon!
Another socialization video of a prasinus that hatched yesterday. This one was initially very timid right out of the egg. But 30 minutes of gentle socialization had his fear completely gone. Notice in the video the animal is never once restrained. This new technique of socialization IMMEDIATELY out of the egg is something I've only been doing the last couple clutches but seems to make a WORLD of difference. I used to believe in giving them a few days before attempting any socialisation, but I am definitely very happy with this new method.
I know it's a little lengthy, but here's a demonstration/explanation of how I socialize my prasinus IMMEDIATELY out of the egg. I feel this first interaction, although time consuming, is critical to socializing these guys. They still all have their own personalities with some much more reserved than others, but I do feel this goes a long way.
