Meet Scout!

This handsome boy and his owners are learning how to communicate through, the often frustrating, obstacles of the puppy phase. Scout has a bright future of shed hunting ahead of him, so we are moulding this adventurous boy's hunt drive.

P.S. - I love it when they haven't quite grown into their ears!

Day Camp this last week was a blast!

Stella, Maya, Tashi, & Rashi are in the groove of what Day Camp is like now and happily return home with their owners for a good night's sleep. Everyone is coming along nicely working on leash manners, place, confidence building, door/threshold manners, and more.

Thanks to Mississippi Mutts for letting us use the shop to do some training, for the awesome homemade treats, and for letting these campers be the highlight for just a few moments to help us catch the perfect photo!

Officially introducing Sookie!
Their smile says it all when hard work pays off! Sookie's owner, much like most, came to us frustrated and exhausted with a very energetic puppy bouncing at the end of the leash. With kids in the home, discipline and boundaries was first set up so everyone could learn and thrive. Sookie now has phenomenal manners in and outside of the home, heals on leash like a champ, sits when stopped, and constantly pays attention to the guidance of her owner. They are currently working on building confidence and exposure training, which they are taking in stride. Keep up the great work you too!

Introducing Sookie (better picture of her to come)! The whole crew was able to enjoy a mile walk the other day and yes I said ENJOY. Sookie's owner came to me at their wits end after trying countless ways, without prevailing until now, to make walking together and even the simplest of doing life together enjoyable. So excited to see this after a week from our first lesson! Can't wait to see this family grow together!

Meet Dolly! She is a typical young female Collie with lots of energy. Her and her owner are learning how to communicate effectively to make their lives together more pleasant. After the first lesson they have been well on their way learning overall manners, loose leash walking, how to relax at home and in public, and gaining experience with good exposure. SCHEDULE UPDATE

In The Name of K9 Training will be out of office starting today and all normal business operations and training will resume 12.4.24. We are solely run and operated by one employee, myself, so please understand response time may be slow and limited.

Once back, we will hit the ground running with private lessons and a couple new things to bring in the new year! We still have some openings for private lessons the second and third week in December, if interested feel free to still message me as these spots are filling up quick!
