Classes are half way through already! Both our Basic Obedience/puppy class and our Advanced Obedience classes got to show off their skills while visiting our friends at Mississippi Mutts this past week. Each and everyone is progressing nicely!

Keep up the great work!

The next class will be offered in 2026. Message us to hold your spot in either class.

In The Name of K9 Training Academy held a training session in the courtyard at Mutts and a walk down Broadway! All the dogs did fabulously, even with all the crazy distractions!!

Basic & Advanced Obedience Class starts this week!

Some spots are still available in both classes. Basic obedience/puppy class will cover all things puppy, sit, down, place, stay, jumping, walking on leash, and more. Our Basic Obedience class is a lead into our Advanced class. Advanced Obedience will cover everything to test for your dogs AKC Canine Good Citizen and more.

GROUP LESSON!

This is a great opportunity to train in a high distraction environment under the guidance of a professional trainer and meet like minded people! Bring friends, especially those with their own dogs.

👉WHO: Any Team of Any Skill Level
👉WHEN: Saturday, September 6th at 9am
👉WHERE: Message for exact location and to RSVP

What do you need?
➡️ Your dog
➡️ Training collar
➡️ 3-4 foot leash
➡️ Water (for you and your dog)
➡️ Poop bags
➡️ Your dog's favorite treats (string cheese, chicken, or squeeze cheese/peanut butter are common favorites)
➡️ A buddy with their dog

We will be there no matter what, but would love to share this opportunity for all those that are looking for another opportunity to practice!

Well that's a wrap!

CONGRATS to all 8 canines and their owners on a job well done! Everyone successfully graduated from our AKC puppy S.T.A.R. and basic obedience class this week. Not to mention a handful are also claiming their new official AKC title and adding letters to their name! This class in its entirety proves just how hard work with great determination and clear communication can get you, and your dog, far in life together.

Thank you to our friends Mississippi Mutts for the pup goodie bags for our graduating class, according to the pups they were delicious!

Yesterday was our second week in our AKC puppy S.T.A.R. and basic obedience class and everyone did great! Everyone, and I mean the owners too, are getting into the routine of learning and communicating effectively. Keep up the great work!

Major thanks to our friend Becky Dunn at for allowing us use of their indoor training room.

Our next offered class will not be until Fall, so get signed up today to receive notice when class sign ups open.

Congrats to Napoleon and his owner on a job well done!

Both of their smiles couldn't say it better... hard work pays off, just ask these two! For the last couple months Napoleon and his owner have been fine tuning their skills to successfully pass in all three CGCs.

Napoleon now officially has CGC, CGC-A, and CGC-U!
