All Mixed Up Dog Rescue We are a 501(c)3 non profit with a mission to place mixed breed dogs in loving homes in Colorado We strive hard to match the right dog to each family.

All Mixed Up Dog Rescue is a new group wanting to help mixed breed mutts who often get overlooked in shelters. Most of our dogs come from other states who have an overpopulation of unwanted dogs who were found as strays. Some of these dogs had a family but have been tossed aside for various reasons. Others may have special needs, medical or behavior, that only a rescue group like ours can take on.

All Mixed Up Dog Rescue is a takeoff from a previous rescue that I created – German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies (GSROR) founded in 2011. While in rescue our dogs live in foster homes so we can personally get to know them. We will work with each dog, teaching house manners and basic obedience, getting them ready for adoption. We are dedicated on working with the ones who need a little more attention so they can adjust well to a better life. Our goal is to find them forever homes where they can live out the rest of their lives with love and happiness. We know that if you share the same interests this will make for an easy transition and a better relationship. After adoption, we will continue to be there for the life of the dog with each of our adopters. We will always be here to provide help with any health, training, or behavior issues that may arise. At All Mixed Up Dog Rescue, we are a 501(c)3 non-profit group that depends on community support through fundraising and donations.

Colton is a silky soft 2 yr old boy who is ready to charm his new family. He has lots of energy to do anything you may want including car rides, playing with toys, and walks. He can be a couch spud if you are busy, just give him a toy and he's good to go.. He is housetrained, quiet in his kennel and respect human things. Due to him being a strong boy we would suggest older kids only so he doesn't knock them down when playing. Colton has a bit of a dominate personality and would do best as your only pet. Smokie is still with us but hasn't given up hope. He can be timid when outside of home, meeting people or being in active places. But foster mom says he has made great strides and just needs practice. We are asking for a quiet home in an area with not a lot of traffic or noise. Because he loves to run, jump and play, his own backyard is a must. Smokies person will need to have some patience and time to work with him on his social skills. Honey is about 3 years old and would love to have a family of her own. Honey is a bit dominant with other dogs but can live with the right male and folks who will spend time integrating her. just a quick update on the new kids - Jasper, Koda, Sally & Rocky. jasper is a blind puppy who has adjusted well to his disabiltiy and makes the most of life. Koda is just a happy go lucky pup who is waiting to get neutered and then look out for this happy boy willl steel your heart. Sally is as sweet as they come, loving, playful and loyal. Rocky is still on heartworm meds and will be re-tested next month but he is a darling

Please welcome Layla:) This little munchan was found in an alley by a kind person who took her to the shelter, hoping her owners were looking for her. After weeks of no one coming forward she was pulled by a rescue called Friends of Roswell (F.O.R.A.) and is now with us hoping to find her forever family. Casey is about 2 years old and was pulled from a Texas shelter where her owner left her. She is shy at first and timid around men. She does come around pretty quick but would do best with a female in the home.. She is good with most dogs but not a fan of high energy or pushy dogs. Casey has met a cat, and it would be best for no kitties in the home. She is house trained to use a dog door, sleeps in a kennel or in bed with you. She loves car rides and pulls just a bit on walks. Arlo is just short of being 2 years old and he is on the hunt for his forever family. Arlo is a sweet boy who loves people and he loves to train and learn new tricks especially when cookies are involved. Arlo walks great on leash and will heal with the command. He is good with other dogs but does have a few issues with toys and food, so it would be best he be the only pet in your home. Arlo needs a home where there are no young children as they can stress him out with their energy. He does have a high prey drive so no cats or small critters. Jasper saw the vet yesterday and it was confirmed that he is blind. He does have a dime-size wound on the top of his head and his ear has a couple of healing wounds as well. When the doc ran her hand down his spine he did cave in when she reached the lower part. We did x-rays and he has a small fracture that is in the healing stage. Overall this 8 month old baby survived the worse and is will be looking for a home soon. We could use some help paying vet bills if you are able to send a few dollars our way.

Welcome Jasper - I saw a FB post saying blind puppy hit by car. I knew we were the ones to bring him in. Thanks to Lee Rios for getting him safe and into a foster home. Jasper has a vet apt on Tuesady to verify his condition but we do think he is blind and possible deaf. There is a hole on the top of his head the size of a bullet and I'm wondering if someone shot him - but that is just a guess. We'll keep you posted on what the vet says but Jasper is a super sweet puppy, so full of love.

Welcome Sally - this baby was found laying in the middle of the road when Isa Sal stopped to move her body to the side - they realized she was still alive. they put her in their car and took her in as a foster. She was covered in ticks, fleas and mange. She is all better now and will be looking for her own family soon.

Chewy is a 10-month old boy who is ready to give his all to his forever family. He is good with other dogs, has been around kids and even ignored a cat he met. Chewy is housetrained, sleeps in his kennel, is pretty quiet and loves affection. He walks good on a leash and rides great in the car. He would love a fenced in yard to he can run and play in safety.
