I seriously questioned whether or not I should even go after a really challenging week, but Monts pulled out all the stops for me 🩵
29 dressage (which should have been a 27 but I had managed to learn the wrong test!!) and a double clear to finish 4th with just 0.8 time for being too quick xc.
To say I’m proud of this horse would be a huge understatement!!

And just like that… she’s back in the ring and living up to her name🩵

Dancer threw in some extra moves at dressage on Sunday but still coming away with great scores and lovely comments. Crumpet tagged along for another trip out and behaved great in a new environment, spooky tests but getting better everytime!!

Little Crumpet has been busy over the last few weeks. He’s competed in his first show jumping and dressage shows and placing in both and gaining so much confidence. He’s going to be a fab pony for someone!! Thank you for running such lovely shows!!

A long but great day at Gatcombe yesterday.
Monty’s first 90 and only his second event. He exceeded all expectations over tricky and big courses.

Vale of Clettwr Hunt show ❤️💙
A little prep show before the Royal welsh.
Monty was well and truly thrown into the deep-end.
With so many ponies and horses around I really wasn’t sure how he’d react but he had his halo firmly in place all day.
Started in the Working Hunter class, with a slightly chaotic warm up arena I opted not to warm him up over a fence, which resulted in a couple of poles but he came away super confident.
But highlight of the day was his RoR class, coming home with a win and the a reserve champion for the section.
(Oh yeh, and we won our first sash!!!)

Little Pinky was with me for a couple of weeks for a bit of a jumping crash course. She has shown some serious scope and ability from day one! She ended her two week boot camp with a trip to dyffryn paith riding clubs arena eventing, which really threw her in the deep end, but it’s safe to say she loved it and gained so much from it.

She is looking for a new home!! If you’re interested in an absolute cracking pony please get in touch, I think someone will be very lucky to have her as an addition to a showing, working hunter or pony club family.

Monty Guiry 💙

I have to keep reminding myself that he is new to the ridden life because my gosh, he does not disappoint!!
His first dressage outing and we came away with 65% and 64.31% in both prelims, with some lovely comments, from both the judge and so many others!
So much to work on but it’s a great place to start 😌

Fab day yesterday at the Mid Wales Winter Show. Riding Jade Phillips’ Applemeadows Prince Charming, placing second in his class💙
Bit of a change of scenery for me, as I’ve done very little showing but this little guy made it a great experience.
Looking forward to ride him for the rest of the season!!

First show jumping competition ✅
First full course ✅
So so impressed with how he just takes everything in his stride. He very happily and confidently popped round the 70cm and 80cm classes with no fuss.
He has jumped just three times since the start of his retraining!!
Yes, he did have a few poles. Yes, he was far from perfect but he exceeded all expectations I had of him. I went with the aim of quietly popping round the 70cm from trot and coming home, but the second we got into the ring he was just a pro! Coming away with two fairly rhythmical rounds 💙

My grandparents wanted to meet Crumpet, so I made it my challenge to get him ridden up to the house to meet them before they go back home to Scotland.
Mission complete ✅

I took abit of a gamble in buying this little man at a Sale back in November. I have to admit, it was abit scary bidding on a 3yo pony I knew very little about. But, he has exceeded all expectations and turning into a great little pony!
Excited to see what he can do!!

⭐️Who the heck cares!⭐️

I have to admit, I previously struggled with the mindset of ‘I can’t be seen jumping small fences!’ To the point, where I have naively pushed my horses to train, or sometimes competed over bigger courses that they were not ready to jump! I was very lucky and that didn’t affect my horses confidence too much, but over the last couple of years where I have been riding a variety of horses, I soon had the reality check I needed.
❕Stop caring what heights you’re jumping! ❕Stop caring about what anyone else thinks!!

This is Monty! A 7 year old, Thoroughbred who had a racing injury earlier this year. He is now with me to be retrained, hopefully to do some low level eventing. We’ve done about 8 weeks of lots of hacking and some basic schooling.
This is his first time out since his racing career ended in June. His first time jumping since coming back into work; first time over show jumping course; first time in an indoor school and in a group of horses! So many firsts for this guy and he behaved impeccably!
Yes, they were only tiny cross poles but he did everything calmly and confidently. I know he is capable of so much more, and I’m excited to tap into that potential as he gets stronger!
Just look how happy he is ❤️
