Afternoon everyone!

Id like to say a big thanks to all our clients up to now, our followers, the menstrie dumyat centre and all potential future clients.

The buisness has really taken off and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

However my family and i are about to start out on our new venture so im going to have to take a break from dog training until next summer.

See you all in 2023.

Meet Rosie the Labradoodle. 🐕

We had a consultation with Rosie then one lesson. Owner kisrty was very happy with Rosies progress and could manage her from there. 👼

Another fine example of the effectiveness of our dog training techniques. 🐾 🐕 🐾

Rosie was in training for hyperdog syndrome, barking in the house, garden and at the window. We also gave some guidance and techniques for improving obiedance and temperament.

Good morning Everyone 🌄

Here is a little post about Archie the blue staffordshire bull terrier Puppy. They are fearless, intelligent and very affectionate. 🐶

Archies owners Allan and Carol Grieg reached out for a session to go over the basics such as recall, walking on lead and improving temperament and obiedance training. 🐾

Archie was great in his garden and im sure Allan and Carol will have him trained in no time. It was great meeting Archie and we look forward to seing him again. 👨 👩 🐕

Good morning folks. 🌄

We seen our 2nd disabled client recently with learning difficulties.

This is another dog training service we provide.

We met Skye who is in training for stealing, guarding objects, being a bit unruly and not listening when outdoors. 🐾 🐶 🐾

We provided some easy instructions and excercises which work towards the correct behaviours we want Skye to adopt. 👍 🐕 👍

We will be back in a few weeks time to see Skye again. 👩 🐕

Its been a while since we posted but we have been busy with lots of doggies 🐶 🐕 👍

Here we have Lola the lovely labrador whos in training for jumping up, pullling on lead and being a bit too energetic. 🐶 🔋

We have had 2 lessons with Lola so far and shes picked up "heel" very well and been great off lead up the park 🐾 🌳

We look forward to seing Lola again soon 👼 🐕

Evening dog lovers..

We havent posted in a while but be assured we have been busy with clients and their dogs. 👨 👩 🐕

A few to mention:

Dawn and her Chihuahuas Mini and Roxy for aggresive behaviour towards each other, barking and pulling onlead

Jennifer with Bear and Sasha whom you may remember from an earlier post have started their training plan

Owner Lee and labrador Lola have started a training plan for zoomies, pulling on lead and jumping up

We also met Lynn with her two frenchies Otis and Mabel you can see below for a consultation last week for aggresive behaviour, mouthing, barking, reactive outdoors and pulling on lead.

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had some great times with your dogs 🐕 over the holidays 🎄

We started back up last week with a few consultations and our last lesson with Oscar the labrador.

Oscar now walks well on lead and has stopped the excited nibbling. Owner Sam has the skills and knowledge to correct any bad behaviours in the future and is allowing Oscar some social time off lead as his behaviours improved 👍 👩 🐶

We may see Sam and Oscar in the future for some social walks. 🐾

Merry Christmas Eve dog lovers 🎄 🐕

I thought i would put a post up to let you all know i have stopped dog training for the holidays and will be starting back up in the middle of January.

Over the last few weeks we have seen Molly for human socilaising, some tips for her owner to stop Molly putting her teeth on people and to build up some confidence around people. Molly done great in our first session and took food much quicker from my lap and also out on a walk! 👼 🐕

We have seen Oscar for unstructured behaviours in house, pulling on lead and dog dog reactivness. Oscar has picked up heel very quickly and also sits super fast aswell 👍 🐕

We also took Japser up to the gartlove free run facility for some off lead exercise, jasper did not stop for 30mins his ball is his life! 🎾 🐕

On saturday we had our 1st puppy class of this block. 🐶

Thanks to everyone who attended, we had spaniels, labs and german shepherds to name a few 👍 🐕

In the 1st class we covered barking, digging, fear of people, come sit stay and off. 🌟

Afternoon, i hope every dog owner had a nice walk today its getting cold out there! ❄

On Thursday we met Saskia, Bear and owner Jillian. Saskia was rehomed by Jillian and family at 3yrs old and Bear they had from a puppy. 🐕 🐶

Saskia and Bear are starting a 4 week training plan in the new year for a host of different reasons. Saskia for abandonment issues, pulling on lead and pray drive and Bear for unruly play with Saskia, pulling on lead and barking. 🐾 🐾

We spent over a hour with Jillian during our consultation and gave her a few pointers and excercises to work on until we start in February.
We also taught Bear to bark or "speak" on command to assist with "shush" command when he is barking. 😆🐶

Good afternoon everyone ☁

Last night we had our last session in the 4 week plan with Stella the harrier hound and owner Nicola at the Gartlove Country Boarding Kennels free run facility. 🌙 👍

We concentrated on lead walking as this is Stellas last hurdle to get over. Stella was walking to "heel" with change of speed excercise added in, fast and slow and lastly some "stay" and "sits" 🌟 🐕

1,2,3,4.. Request, change of speed from the owner, change of speed from the dog, praise praise praise. 🐴🐢

Its very important to always have a loose lead or looser lead as the progress picks up, not to let the dog deviate and to keep the focus of the dog in training, a lot of talking to reaffirm positions and lots of praise. 👼

Stella was in season last night so was more distracted than usual when let off lead to "go play" so she really done great! She let out lots of bored huffs when in training 😤🐩😂🐩

Nicola will use the training in different places on walks with Stella and we will see them once again before the holidays 🎅 for a top up session and check in again in the new year.

Great effort Nicola your guidance and commands with Stella have improved immensely 👍 🐕 👩

Good morning dog fans 🌄 👍 🐕

On tuesday we travelled to Glasgow to meet Millie the 5 month old Labrador Retriever and owner Jonell.

Owner Jonell was looking for some advice and training to stop Millie jumping up, barking and to generally control Millie and stop the zoomies when they occur. 😵😵😵

The zoomies or hyperdog syndrome are unstructured play and should really be stopped as soon as possible. Get your dogs attention by what ever means, have them sit-stay-settle down then re focus them onto a toy they should be playing with, take the time to play with the dog and praise them for playing how they should. 👼 👼 👼

We spent over an hour with Millie and Jonell going over feeding, exercises for improving inhouse behaviour, temperament and obedience and also jumping up. 🐾🐾🐾

Millie took instruction really well and picked up the excersises very fast. We also left lots of notes to help remind Jonell. 📖

Good luck implementing and practising Millie and Jonell im always here if you need me. 🐶 🌟

Afternoon dog fans! 🐩👏

Today we met Molly a Romanian rescue who was rescued by owner Jillian and family at 5 months old. Molly is now 13months old. 🐶

Molly is in training for protecting food treats like bones etc and being scared of men. Being scared of men and children can be a very common problem if not introduced to enough people from 2-6months and protecing high value objects can be common if dogs have spent a lot of time with other dogs and not humans which is Mollys case. 🐕

We have gave owner Jillian a few things to work on initally and we will be back in a few weeks to see how shes gettting on and look to start some temperament training outdoors as well.

Evening everyone 🌙

We had another training session at Gartlove Country Boarding Kennels free run facility tonight in the floodlit field with Stella the Harrier hound and owner Nicola. 🐕 🐾👩

We were working on recall and lead walking. Initial food lures to hand signals and food rewards in the pocket with mini lead walking at heel sessions in between to keep Stellas concentration. 👀

She done great! 🌟 recalled everytime and walked well on lead most of the time. 🎉

Some frosty walks on the way! ❄

This afternoon we had Floyd the Collie on his fourth lesson at the Gartlove Country Boarding Kennels free run facility which was great for a dog lesson. 🐕 🐾

We worked on Floyds recall and by 15mins in he was recalling 100%! 🌟

Owners Angie and Frank now have the confidence, knowledge and skills to implement the recall training wherever they go. 🚶 🐾

Good afternoon everyone 🐕

Yesterday we met Oscar the labrador who is 11months old. 🐶

Oscar is starting a 4 week plan soon for mouthing his owner Sam when on lead and in the house when he wants attention or play and for dog reactiveness as when he sees a dog outside he gets very excited and starts to jump around and up at Sam. 🐶 👩

Oscar will go through some classical and differential classical conditioning techniques to resolve his behaviour issues. We categorise dog behaviour in 3 groups, in house, temperament and obedience and we must always start with in house behaviours first before we see good improvements to temperament and obedience outdoors and off lead. 🐕 💘

Evening dog lovers! 🐕 💘

Massive thanks to everyone who attended our first block of puppy classes at the menstrie dumyat centre.

We concentrated on walking on leash and recall today with all dogs walking well next to each other and all dogs recalling to the owner between myself and the owner with the other dogs on lead next to their owners.

Congratulations to all owners 🌟 great effort!

You now have all the skills you need to train your dog to become a well behaved member of the dog community 👍 🐕 🐶

Morning everyone 🌄 🐕

Thanks to all who attended the 3rd puppy class at the menstrie dumyat centre.

We continued training on lead walking with improvements from most dogs from last week, we moved up a stage in obedience training with hand signals.
Remember now the food rewards are in the pocket!

And had a small play session working on recall with all the puppies 🐶

Hi everyone below we have Stitch and Skye who are 3 yrs old and were adopted by Gillian and her family from north Macedonia. 🐕 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Skye and Stitch are on a training plan for a few issues like dog reactive, pulling on lead, barking and general zoomies in the house as they have been through a lot of trauma. Remember dogs need support too especially if they dont get the right training and experience in the first 6-8months. 🐶 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

At the start of our 1st lesson it was obvious the family had been using the kongs and working on having the dogs sit and keeping them calm from our consultation last month so well done everyone! 🌟's

Good afternoon Canine Companions! 🐕

We had our 2nd puppy Class at the dumyat centre in Menstrie yesterday. Thanks to everyone who attended we had 9 doggies along with their owners. 🐶 👩 👨

We went over fear of people, hyperdog syndrome, what to do when your dogs home alone, how to stop your dog jumping up and keeping them calm. 😎 🐩

Everyone now knows how to work on temperament training with their dog and everyone will start to adopt the differential classical conditioning method. We will move onto the next stage of obedience training next week. 👍👼

We also had some training with walking on lead and everyone got their notes and some exercises to practise off lead at home and in the garden... Remember your dog has to want to follow you so be energetic and charismatic 💘 🐕

Thanks to everyone who attended our 1st puppy class at the Menstrie Dumyat centre 🐶

We had 9 dogs, a mixed bunch upto 14 months. Collies, cockpoos, bordoodles, german shepards, cane corsos, labradors and irish terrier. 🐶 🐕

In the 1st lesson we went over kong feeding for in house behaviours such as barking or destructive chewing, biting inhibition for mouthy pups, recall training including the"here and sit" "go play" release and the requirement for off lead recalls during walks and release to "go play" again. This builds the bond with your dog that owners are fun and the dogs are happy to recall everytime. 🎉 🐩

The most common issue is dogs only get recalled to end playtime so begin to decide actually i dont want to end playtime! 🐾

This is a post for Willow and Hudson the 5 year old Lhaso Apso's who are on a 4 week training plan for barking and pulling on lead, willow is particulary reactive to people outdoors. 🐕 👨

In the 1st lesson we went over kong feeding, lead walking in the garden, the correct use of the collar and lead and how to reduce reactions when outdoors. Owner Jean and daughter Claire will now work on these techniques for the following week.

Good Morning Doggie people! 🌄

We met Poppy last week for a one to one session.

Poppy barks a lot at people bikes and dogs she also pulls on the lead 🐾

We spent an hour with owner Carol showing her how to use the Kongs correctly as a food delivery service and how to gain Poppy's focus reassure her and reinforce with some food to ultimatley say "you are supposed to enjoy these experiences" after a few run throughs in the house at the window and outdoors Poppy wont react and Carol will be able to gain her attention much quicker 👍 🐕

We spent time in the garden working on lead walking. Carol will practise and master the excercise and implement it outdoors on walks 🌟 🐕

Evening Everyone! 🌙 🐕

Here we have Frankie walking great on his last lesson with a few sits mixed in.

I have to call out thats hes on the wrong side.
Sarah and Blair remeber the left side! 😆

Once we work on walking on lead we pick a side and stick to that side so we see Frankie drifting a little but its all good he is listening.

Afterwords we went to the park and played off lead with 2 of my dogs 🐕 Frankie performed well on recall training and even got involved with the playing and grabbed a toy! 🌟

Below we have Jasper the pug-a-poo on his 3rd lesson walking great on lead and sitting with voice command and hand signal for owner Lorraine, we have moved on from food lures so he is rewarded by a treat from Lorraines pocket. 😋 🎂

Jasper used to pull all over the place and try and run in-between Lorraines legs 😂 .....No Longer 👍 🌟

Evening folks!
Iv been very busy with clients so appologies i havent had any posts recently.

Below we have Bailey who is very scared of people.

We spent an hours 121 and showed owner Amanda how to have strangers greet Bailey and ultimately gain her trust.

Amanda can work with friends and family in the house first then where possible women outside then onto men.

Bailey done great and i had a good clap of her head before i left 💘 🐕

Hi everyone, say hello to Stella the Harrier Hound 👋🐕

Harrier hounds are a medium sized breed of the hound class, used for trailing hares etc.

They are similar to the english foxhound but are slightly smaller though not as small as a beagle, sometimes referred too as a beagle on steroids 😄

They have been used since the 13th century, have short hair and come in a variety of colour patterns.

Stella is starting a 4 week training plan soon for barking, jumping up and pulling on lead.

Afternoon everyone! I bet your all looking forward to the wet dog walks this weekend 🐕 💦

We met our youngest doggie client yesterday, Floyd the Collie who is 14 weeks old owned by Angie and Frank.

Floyd will be on a 4 week plan to train him up as very friendly, calm and controlled member of the dog community 👍

We will be going over in house behaviour, recall, leash walking and socializing.

Angie and Frank have already implemented some great training techniques such as feeding from Kongs, sitting when out on walks and hand feeding 💘 🐕

Great effort already to the 3 of you! 🌟 👨 👩 🐕

I will be looking to start some puppy classes in Oct/Nov so anyone whos intetested keep an eye out for them 👀 🐶

Good afternoon Dog lovers 🐕 💘

Heres a little post about Benji and Rocko the Lhasa Apso's who are 6 and 4 years old. Owned by Nancy and Ricky.

There on a 4 week training plan for barking in the house, out the back garden and when on walks at birds, people, dogs, bikes you name it 😆

We are on week 2 and both dogs have performed great in the lessons with hardly any barking. They are both taking reassurance and guidance well when given distractions to react at!

They have both met Mylo my oldest male dog with a very friendly first meet even if Benji felt he had to cover all of Mylos pee's 😆 🐕

Good Morning everyone 🌞
Hope you all enjoy your dog walks today 🐾 🐾

We met Pablo the Chihuahua and owner Gemma yesterday 🐕 👩

Pablo barks constanly at the TV, brushes and dogs when outdoors. We had a one to one session where we spent over an hour with them showing Gemma what to do with Pablo when he barks as well as some other instructions and tips to ensure a good temperament from Pablo when in the house.

Gemma now has the knowledge and skills needed to teach Pablo what he needs to be a cool 😎 calm dog and they can start enjoying each others company more and more 👍

Gemma can get in touch after a few weeks if she feels she needs any pointers or further help but im sure it will be smooth sailing for them both 🚢 🐕

Good morning peoples happy Wednesday 👍

We met Alvie yesterday hes 7 months old, pure breed Collie and his owner Lisa.

After the consultation it was clear that Alvie was on the right track so we gave owner Lisa a few easy commands to teach Alvie and to contintue with the routine they have. We will be back in a few weeks to spend an hour with Alvie and Lisa as a one off session to ensure Alvie is continuing on the right track. Lisa can always get in touch in the future if they feel they need any help.

Kudos to Lisa for :
- Training Alvie on Kongs - helps with Alvies seperation anxiety, barking and relationship with dog toys.
- Hand feeding Alvie outdoors - helps Alvie to remain calm and enjoy the outdoors without any stress.
- Making dog friends locally early - helps Alvie socialise and stay calm when he see's and meets other dogs.
- Doggy day care - further socialising help for Alvie with stranger dogs and the handlers.

Good morning everyone i hope you all had some nice dog walks at the weekend 🐕 🐾

Here we have Frankie hes a cross between a full and miniture Jack Russell. They come from fox hunting in England and are an intelligent and energetic breed who can be stubborn. They are mainly white, have a smooth, rough or broken coat and can be any colour.

Frankie starts a 4 week plan this week for barking in the house, at the window and in the garden he also needs some help with his confidence when outdoors on his walks 🚶 🐕 🌟
