Mama Dass was the dog in white today for the brevet level. She had fun! Miss Thang surprised me by actually outing on the first whistle. She did not surprise me though by trying to break her start line 🤣 she may not be as fast, but at 11.5 years old, she is just as fierce (and angry)!

Guess who’s finished her year long Chagas’ disease treatment?! This girl!
Mimic goes in for her repeat bloodwork and holter test on Nov 19. Wish us luck! This will determine if she’s healthy enough to have yer first litter this winter 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Cross all of your fingers and toes for a clean bill of health for everyone’s favorite little vampire 🧛‍♀️

Gucci has always played this game- roll the ball, catch the ball, roll the ball, catch the ball, repeat as naseum. Mimic’s typical made up game is bury toys in a blanket, act surprised when she finds them, bury again- rinse, repeat. So imagine my surprise when I looked out back yesterday to find that Mimic has picked up Gucci’s game 🤣 these dogs crack me up on a daily basis.

Mama Dass would like inform everyone that she is going to play mondioring this weekend as the dog in white for the Lonestar Mondioring Club’s fall trial!

She definitely plans to eat the food refusal 🍗, is still undecided if she’ll remember commands like “sit” or “down” and absolutely WILL NOT out on the first and probably not even the second command. Jury’s still out on whether she’ll wait for the hit to bite in the defense of handler. A girl’s gotta keep her public guessing, right?!
Stay tuned for an update on the decisions she makes! I’ll try to get someone to record her naughtiness.

I just spent a fun weekend in New Mexico training and trialing with my girls! Gucci got her brevet on Sunday after a failed attempt on Saturday (she was a very naughty girl both days but less naughty on Sunday 🤣).
Mimic had her first attempt at MR3 yesterday and all I can say is, we had fun! I knew that we probably wouldn’t pass because we haven’t finished teaching her stopped attack and we haven’t really trained her obedience much lately and it showed. She stepped on the field HOT and was decoy hunting from the start. It’s time to crack back down on her obedience- she was so sloppy and naughty. I was excited to see her object guard but the little brat didn’t let go on the very first bite and she got dragged away so we got the dreaded triple horn. I think she was just too amped.
It was a super fun trial though! Wild West Mondioring put on a great trial with a super fun theme. The girls and I got to “hunt” the roadrunner with the coyote in defense and we even got to trap him under a net! Both Paul and Ethan were awesome decoys playing both roles for the different levels. Mimic and I will be training hard and taking the field sooner than later for the MR3!
My good friend Mahogany Gamble was the judge and she put together a great program! It was challenging yet fair and soooo much fun. I’m glad I got to be there for her first trial judging!
