I am overjoyed to announce that several little ones will be joining us soon! Lucie and Finn are expecting puppies late this month. Waitlist is open, priority given to show and sport homes.

Finn is a dog who needs no introduction. He is a multi talented dog in numerous venues, and is the definition of been there, done that. Truly a once in a lifetime dog, Finn has accomplished so much with limited time, resources, and a very green owner. I won't rehash what most of you already know about him, but in short, he's a really cool dude.

Most Titled Border Collie to Attend Westminster (Conformation)

Lucie is a promising young dog with a bright future. She earned her Championship in short order with multiple Best of Breeds over specials and received high remarks from herding specialist judges. She finished her Grand Championship soon after turning two, and is well on her way to a Bronze Grand Championship. She easily earned her foundation sport titles, VSWB, RN, HT, as well as the Versatility Award from the BCSA. After her litter, she will begin her agility and herding career, as that is her true passion. She is a very thoughtful working dog, and likes to see the point in what she is being asked to do. Once she understands the goal, not much will get in her way. Her sire is the legendary Storm (GCHP Majestic Avatar Storm Warning PT), and her mom, Bonnie, is an accomplished conformation dog in her own right (GCHB Jbk Bonfire Burns Eternal FCAT CGC TKN). Lucie has a great off switch in the house and travels well. She has shown all over Texas as well as attending BCSA Nationals in Missouri twice. A massive thank you to everyone who has made this litter possible. Dawn Marie Baletka, thank you for allowing me to steward such a promising young dog, and for trusting I would do right by her. David Williams for your continued cheerleading, support, and love of my dogs, I owe you more gratitude than I can ever express. Paula Barras, Joan Lowrey, Beth Wasik Scorzelli and many others who are the reason for the alphabet soup on Finn's name. Lucie Grove, for always supporting my dreams and loving your namesake as much as I do. Last but certainly not least, the staff of Brookings Animal Hospital and Dr. Brookings for walking me through this and taking such phenomenal care of my dogs. I am blessed to have a care team as excited about these puppies as I am!

Finn and I spent our weekend with Pawprints Agility Club doing some FastCat! He picked up around 100 points towards his DCAT, while I picked up new skills as trial secretary.

Thank you to everyone who helped catch and release Finn while I was busy! And of course a huge thanks to all participants and volunteers who came out!

Finn and Skye had a fabulous time at the 2025 BCSA National Specialty. The Mockingbird crew left with a ribbon in every class they were entered in!

Finn had a great day at the BCSA National!

4th in Herding and 4th in Performance Sweeps. Extra thrilled about his performance sweeps placement, it was the largest sweeps class! Thank you, Ashley Elizabeth Miller, for your excellent handling

He also took a spin in the juniors ring, where he and his new buddy won their class!

We have some guests staying with us this week! Skye's half siblings are at Camp Mockingbird for a few days while their breeder is at border collie nationals.

With the national specialty fast approaching, it was well over time to reintroduce the do it all dog, Finn!

Finn is an extremely accomplished dog, excelling in obedience, rally, agility, conformation, herding, and more. He finished his RACH with several high combines and high triples. He is currently competing in Open and Excellent agility in AKC, jumping 20in. He is currently training for Utility. He is mostly retired from conformation, but was owner handled to wins over top ranked specials in his career. In 2025, he became the most titled border collie to attend Westminster in conformation.

He offers a diverse pedigree. His paternal grandsire is a Brazilian import, and the rest of his pedigree is likely to be an outcross in most programs. I have personally met most of the dogs in his three generation pedigree, and am happy to share my experiences with them.

You will not find a better temperament. He is good with other dogs, intact males included. Outgoing and friendly with people, and loves attention. No vices or environmental sensitivities. Zero noise sensitivities. He does not bark in his crate, jump fences, and travels well.

He is just over six years old and extremely sound. He is regularly competing in high impact sports and shows no signs of slowing down. He has never had so much as a minor injury that was sports related. Needs no maintenance to stay sound, i.e. chiropractic, laser, etc.

You cannot find this longevity, extentive accomplishments, and versatility anywhere else.

I will be increasing his stud fee in 2026, but will honor 2025 pricing with any contracts signed by the end of this year.

Incentives are available for AKC registered females and their puppies produced.
