A few decades back, this book had left a lasting impression on me. Now, as I delve into its pages once more, I find its teachings aligning with the work I do. Sir Timothy and I are going to be navigating some rather choppy waters ahead, and we are preparing. Despite all my training in how to deal with THAT DIAGNOSIS, when the verdict comes, the ground still shakes a bit.

And at times such as this, all my trainings, all the teachings that I hold sacred get tested. The cats and I are learning to navigate a new chapter. Each day is a reminder to stay grounded, stay grateful, remembering to see past the illness, and remembering the wisdom-nature of all phenomena. The blessing of all that time spent in practicing is, fortunately, the ability to use all these energy healing tools to return back. And Sir Timothy loves his Scalar healing.💫❤🐱

Dropping a note to say that I am currently working on sorting out a frustrating relationship with Facebook. I invite you to find me on Instagram (), where I tend to be more active.

In the meantime, I continue my work with the cats, dogs, and an occasional guinea pig. There have been some heartwarming recoveries, like a dog whose recurring infection cleared up with energy work. But there have also been losses, such as another dog who walked onto Rainbow Bridge. There is a sacredness to this art of holding space through joy and grief.

Here's a reminder that the Animal Reiki Circle (ARC) is happening this weekend! If you're looking for a way to experience the joy of a group Reiki-share, you won't want to miss it.

It's raining fur out here! The cats are shedding their undercoat as the days get longer and the mercury rises. The winter coat served them well during a Himalayan winter, but now it's time to shed. And I have fur everywhere—on my clothes, in my hair, on the laptop, in my books, on the furniture, inside the closet—EVERYWHERE!

I wondered if the shedding bothered them and asked if they needed some extra TLC. Sir Timothy looked with disdain, "Dunno what you are talking about. What fur?" while Daniel Pema Craig chirped, "Can we get the fan going, please?"

As the season turns for what looks like a very hot Indian summer, I see them preferring the cooler spots in the house, and they don't complain at their usual decibel level when they get their daily brushing and grooming.

Both boys are energy-work junkies, so they settle in close with dreamy eyes, when I do my energy sessions, clearly enjoying the draft.

Last week, our lives were graced with a dog who shares her name with one of my cats, who is now in spirit. I had to remind myself of my training and get past that OMG-I-had-a-cat-with-the-same-name exuberance because this work requires me to be steady and grounded. This girl needed an emergency session to help her cope with severe distress caused by a spinal injury.

Now, different individuals respond differently to energy work—some more quickly, and some need more time. But, just like my cat, this girl was sensitive and lapped up the energy work.

The next day, I was delighted to receive a message stating that the dog had slept better than ever, eaten well, and shown an overall improvement in her temperament. It was a 'wow' moment for me, and it reminded me why I love this work.

And, if your animal companion is struggling with a physical or emotional challenge, reach out. Even if you have doubts, or especially if you have doubts - because the only way this works is by experiencing what energy healing can do to those challenges.

This was one of the recent testimonials of how EFT tapping created powerful shifts in the dynamics between cats. A client was referred to me because her cats were not getting along with each other. Most of the cats were rescued from various situations, and some continued to enjoy their outdoor access. It was like working with dynamite. Everyone had a bone to pick, and there was something to trigger everyone. A round of chats with the cats led to the idea of developing an image of a harmonious family equation that everyone could relate to. And finally, with a few rounds of EFT Tapping, things started falling into place. A couple of weeks ago, I heard back that there was a much greater sense of equanimity in the house. Sanity was restored.

For cat-people, a perfect world is a perfect home filled with happy cats living with their own unique gifts and own unique quirks and sharing space in perfect harmony. Watching everyone settle brought satisfaction; the testimonial was the icing on the cake.

Back in those days when Artemis was still around, she was pretty much the boss of the land. Artemis, with her strong personality, had little tolerance for the younger cats who came after her. Duchess had a rough start navigating Artemis's reign. Balancing these two divas was very frustrating for me. I guess I was learning their ways.

Years have passed, and now I find myself much better equipped with an array of tools such as EFT tapping and other forms of energy work. These made the integration of the newer cats, who walked into our home, a much smoother and easier process. It has also brought me immense joy to be able to support other multi-cat households and witness how the dynamics shift.

I'll have more on this soon. In the meantime, here's a photo of the earlier gang playing their who-gets-the-chair game.

After the recent incident, many inquired about Pema's well-being. The general impression was that Pema must be traumatized—you'd think that's the norm when someone gets stuck in a shaft.

Then I look at Pema, and I see a cat who has perfected the art of living in the present. As scary as it was, Pema has clearly moved on and instead would love to be recognized for being the 007 that he is. After all, there is a reason he was named Daniel Pema Craig. Who cares about one scary adventure? He's done with it.

And, of course, he did OD on scalar waves and shamanic healing. What chance did trauma have?

Animals can snap out of incidents, that we view as traumatic. And nothing like a dose (if not an OD) of energy work to ease the situation.

Meet Elsa! As is very obvious from this photo, neither of us scored well on selfies.

I met Elsa a couple of weeks ago when I was out in the mountains. She graciously agreed to be my first non-English client.

Language is irrelevant when it comes to animal communication, but it does matter when relaying the information back to the human. Both Elsa and her human caregiver indulged my fumblings. Elsa resides in a charming cottage nestled in the Himalayas. She spoke about her love for the rains and how she felt safe in her home. Her human found out why she goes disappearing once in a while and why she comes back from her wanderings too. I love seeing how people have this dreamy sparkle in their eyes after listening to a reading, as they have their own little a-ha moments.

That sparkle makes it all worth it.

A cat going missing is a nightmare that most cat-people live with, and perhaps you can relate to this. Reflecting on my recent tryst with a runaway cat and instances where I assisted friends in similar situations, I have compiled a list of preventive measures that can help avert a disaster. Though primarily designed for indoor cats, they can be adjusted for cats more familiar with the outdoors.

(i) Bluetooth or GPS Trackers: A tracker attached to your cat's collar along with a contact tag, can be used for location tracking. I found the GPS trackers bulkier and discomfiting for small cats and Airtag works better. Choose a device that works for you and doesn't require frequent charging.

(ii) Regular medical checks and neutering: A healthy cat is better equipped to navigate the way back and has a higher chance of surviving outdoors. When deciding on neutering, consider its influence on your cat's tendency to wander.

(iii) Secure airlines-approved carriers when transporting: I have witnessed cats breaking open weaker plastic carriers within seconds. When your cat is freaking out in an unfamiliar place, such as a boarding or clinic, it's hard to predict how quickly they can escape from a carrier that isn't sturdy enough.

(iv) Emergency response plan: Include friends and fellow cat enthusiasts who can join the search. I highly recommend having the contact information of an animal communicator handy - even if you are a skeptic. While I don't provide lost animal consultations, others do. Penelope Smith maintains a directory of specialists, some skilled in helping find missing cats.

(v) Secure your house - View your home from your cat's senses to identify potential escape routes and secure them. Balconies can be safeguarded with safety nets, and make sure you use the quality ones that cats cannot chew through. Install meshes on windows and double doors for main entry points. Depending on your living space, consider adding a catio to provide your cat with fresh air while keeping them safe. If you are planning to board your cats, visit the facility in person before boarding.

Our animal companions are more than just cute little critters; they're living, breathing personalities with their own quirks and likes. They are our soul family.
At the same time, they are their own little bosses, too. They have their own path to walk and unique challenges to face, and they have the right to choose. Especially when it comes to telepathic animal communication and energy healing, it is crucial that we as practitioners recognize and respect those choices.

The one thing all our animal companions unanimously ask for is for us to be 100% present with them- no distractions, no side conversations, and 100% present physically and mentally.

When we give our beloved animal companions our undivided attention, we are not only fulfilling their needs but also deepening our own connection with them. It's easy to get caught up in our busy lives and forget the simple pleasure of spending quality time with the ones who are always there for us. Taking the time to be present with them can be a rewarding experience for both us and our animal companions.

Sir Timothy loves to use his Idee-Timothy time playing fetch (he does the catching, and I do the fetching. I have been trained by the best). Daniel Pema, on the other hand, loves to snuggle. His Idee-Pema times are a respite from his zoomies.
