Pilot Bill had a ‘clown car’ plane today when he picked up quadruplets Tay, Telly, Talia and Tempest, puppy Tinkerbell, and mom Yvette and her three kiddos, Mullins, Kippi and Coraline. Yvette and kids departed after leg one for their rescue, while pilots Darryl, Tom and Bob finished the trip and got the other pups to their rescue.

Expectant mother, Harlyn, got to her rescue on Friday and is safe and comfortable at foster Heather’s house, awaiting her puppies to arrive. She and kitties Anubis, Celeste, Atticus, Victoria, Phara and Winkie got a lift from pilot Bob and wife Shawn.

These twin ladies got a ticket out yesterday and made their way to rescue. Shy Birdie and happy Belle boarded flights with pilots Mark, Trish & Jim, Adam & Jay, and Jay & Will gave these pups a wonderful gift.

A couple of small photo misidentifications, but a great article on pilot Dave and our efforts to get dogs out of the panhandle. The first photo (in the plane) is actually pilot Sam with Lorelei, and the one of the lady holding Sayge and Leonie is Cindy that flew with pilot Mark, not Brenda.

All of this happens because of the generosity of our pilots for flights and YOUR financial support for vetting. Our big fundraiser isn’t until November, but keep us in mind as you plan your giving this year.

JANESVILLE — Dave Farrell flew 1,025 combat hours in Southeast Asia during the Viet Nam War.

Pilots Mark, Sam, Michael and Dave generously gave up their Saturday to get Lorelei, Sayge, Leonie, Nellie and Zia on their way to their rescue in Wisconsin. These sweethearts quickly made their way into everyone’s hearts, and I know they’ll be home with forever families in no time.

Today, and for eternity, we will be mourning the loss of this gentleman who passed away today. If you’re a rescue partner of ours, you’ve no doubt seen him come across your messages as I asked for you to accept one of our dogs. Simba the cat was the office manager for the Parmer Paws shelter. He was found by the junior high with a damaged leg. It was amputated, and rather than leave for a home or rescue, he applied for the job of office manager and official cat tester for the dogs we are placing. Three legs didn’t slow him down much, and we could always tell if a dog was ‘cat-friendly’ by watching Simba, not the dog. He would march up to a dog and introduce himself without hesitation if the dog was going to be a cat-friendly one. If he wandered off across the room, we knew the dog was not going to be good around kitties. Being cat-friendly is a big plus in the dog rescue world. Take a look at this clip of Lupe sending me a dog intake evaluation on Carmichael, our little cattle dog with a previous injury. Thank you, sweet boy, for saving so many dogs from the Parmer Paws shelter. You will truly be missed. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🌈
