Every once in a while, I hear someone make the statement about their program being about "quality, not quantity." It happened again recently and got me thinking, what, exactly, is the point of that statement?
Many of the greatest dogs in history came from what we would call "breeding kennels" today. These are the kennels and breeders that are studied and celebrated.
They produced families of dogs that carried distinct characteristics, hallmarking their stamp on a breed.
When did it happen, that breeding kennels became negative or frowned upon, over the hobby breeder?
So, is the phrase "quality over quantity" being used with a negative connotation? As a preservation breeder, are you really doing your breed a service by attempting to put down other breeders who might have more litters than you do?
Who defines and judges quantity? And how? 14 puppies can come from one litter...or four.
Is quantity really a bad thing, if you consistently produce quality?
Can you call it a "program" when you aren't breeding enough or consistently to understand what you are making? Can you define your style or do you know what you are breeding for, mentally and physically?

How are you defining quality? Is it titles? Health clearances? Well-loved pets and/or working dogs with happy families?
Who makes the judgement that one breeder is producing quantity over quality, where another is producing quality over quantity?
I personally believe that any breed will make its biggest leaps forward when a breeder with a clear vision has the guts to ignore all the background noise and keep pushing forward in the right direction. Let's leave it to the AR groups to be the one common enemy and not within.

Today I'm having a little trouble eating again what ever. Once I broke it off again. After sleeping a bit, we went to the garden a bit. There the breakout of the fence was made safe.... haha you thought. After I repeatedly showed the male bipedal where a hole is, at some point he was no longer so happy because he ran out of material. Haha.
Took a nap again. Then I was hungry and I didn't go fast enough. So I'll have to put the paw on myself. I swear, I just pulled on the tablecloth briefly. Stupidly, my belly button dropped, with it all the food God that was some bu****it haha. The male bipedal cleaned and mom gave me a shower.
I terrorized that though. I just screamed out loud haha Didn't she stop me from continuing to clean though.

At the moment, Lemon and Longhaar are once again being fired and emphasized how negative this supposedly affects the dogs and the breed A never ending story! There's the pros and the contra fraction and it only goes in circles, that's exhausting
Negatively, it is described in the post as "color breeding" and that compromises would be made at the expense of the dogs.
The Dalmatian is a visually striking dog, the whole breed is a color breed. There are also breeders who breed only brown (also a recessive color, which has gradually become more common) and others exclusively purely black, both targeted color breeding, just without a rumor!
And compromise? Yes, of course! No dog is perfect (no matter how much the owners talk about it) and sometimes I would rather have this or that too, but take another male because he is probably better suited in some aspects.
The person who wrote about this was also perfectly aware of my J-throw and in various places has gone far and wide about how impossible that was.
The same person who seems to have not lost a word about the numerous "mistakes" in the littering of her own puppy and where the puppy was also bred for bending and breaking.
Not being able to do anything better, not being able to admit your own mistakes, but pointing out blasphemy to others this is huge!
Whoever is here just to spy and actually thinks I'm s**t, better go to the exit

!UPDATE !
Firstly, it's different, and secondly than you think!
On 23.09. we went on vacation and on September 24. Ella has become a walking man
From a distance I checked if something could still be arranged, but it didn't happen. Ella's wife wasn't at home at the time herself and my experienced breeder friend would only have been able to do it from the day the male owner could to the maximum.
We had planned the vacation extra like this, so it would theoretically fit. Actually, I only expected Ella to run in November/December.
At the time, the whole thing was maximum disadvantage. The K-litter will therefore be delayed and it is not yet clear whether Ella or Ciri will become the mother of the K-litter.
Of course, I will let everyone who is interested know!
As soon as there is a new, more concrete plan, I will of course publish these

The adventure of J-litter and first longhaired puppy is coming to an end
Today Mando (Mr. Mint), Nila (Ms. Purple), July (Ms. Lilac) and Snickers (Mr. Black) are moving to their new families.
Everyone is already eagerly awaited and full of anticipation
Actually, Mrs. Rosa would also have moved out today, but since she unfortunately developed a biting error, there was another change in her case.

5:10am, the night was declared over.
The nights are very different lately Sometimes the puppies sleep until about. 7:15, sometimes theatre at 2:30 and then again at 5 This sucks with time.
During the summer, our puppies are outside during the day, but at night they are of course indoors. We don't have a puppy house or anything. So, of course, no crackling passes me as
Even during the day, the lütten are now on to more and more nonsense and require much more attention, which is normal.
Nevertheless, it is a very intense and exhausting time, especially when you, like me, do practically everything by yourself.
I don't want to complain, this is how I chose But raising puppies is definitely not just fluffy, cute and amazing!
When visitors are there, they often sleep it all away and that makes them so good and uncomplicated
But whew I want to take a break then all of a sudden everyone is wide awake and turning up.
Then there are also the 4 adult dogs who want to be cared for. Unfortunately, they are shorter at this point of breeding, but it is only a very limited time and after that they enjoy undivided attention again.
This week there are some dates and preparations coming up, but after that it's time to get through again

Last night was over at 5:20 a.m. too.
It was just a cluster in the toilet, guess they are actually trying to do more outside.
Basically, of course, really great, but inexpensive for my sleep
But the last few days we still rock
Yesterday the puppies had a professional photo shoot and you will definitely see photos of them here, but only when they are all dressed, because the puppy parents are supposed to be the first
The midgets did a great job. We were in a place unknown to them and they were just curious and super open
After the puppies, the adult dogs were also on.
By the looks of it Mr. Blue is going to be a grin
He already grinned a little three times when he walked on us, to melt! So far I thought he was a rather serious guy.
