We need you! 💙 We are looking for people to lead events and ideas to help us fundraise as we enter our last year of our capital campaign. The Board of Supervisors have given us until December 2025 to raise as much money as we can, so let’s plan out the rest of the year with things you want to run with!

Come with your ideas, logistics, dates in mind, and how you will help lead them. We are looking for those that love to help coordinate great things! Think about all kinds of fundraisers you would be interested in - give back nights, events, signage, grant writing, billboards, donor matches, golf tournaments, school penny wars, disc golf tournaments, car washes, raffles, talking to your super generous rich friends, business partnerships, etc. We welcome it all!

Can’t make it? Or have an idea, but don’t want to lead it? We welcome you to skip the meeting and email us at [email protected].

It has taken many generous people to get us to the amazing amount of $500,000 that we currently have raised with you all. We still need a minimum of $800,000 to reach Phase 1 paired with the County’s money. barccmeow.com/plans

These pups need homes, just like Campbell County needs a new animal shelter. 💙

Pictures are as of today. Some of these faces have been there since November. Check out the walls and floors in the background. A better facility would increase foot traffic and encourage more people to visit. More foot traffic, means more adoptions.

Hey everyone!! We have some exciting news!! We are doing another giveaway!! But with this giveaway we are going to help our friends at BARCC! We are in need of a new shelter in Campbell county! We are soooo grateful to all of you who have donated and believed in us and our mission over the years. BARCC started as a few people that believed (and still believe!) in Campbell County’s animals and our community! We are thankful to the Board of Supervisors who listened to our many presentations and their community reaching out to them!

In 2024, the Board raised their funding to the current $2.5 million they have set aside. When BARCC started in 2017, the new shelter facility funding was only $800,000. We have until December 2025 to raise as much funding as possible to put towards the new animal shelter that will be built. This is our year and we need your help.

BARCC is the little engine that could thanks to you all. It takes advocacy, neighbors, outreach, fundraising, friends, etc. Together we can! Please talk to the people around you, share our posts, donate when you can, recommended us for donation opportunities, etc.

As always, please visit the shelter behind Yellow Branch Elementary School to adopt/foster these amazing animals in need. Please continue to spay and neuter pets. While a new facility is desperatelyyyyy needed, we also need animals that get quickly reclaimed and aren’t able to overpopulate. This will help keep the shelter from becoming full and keep our precious animals happy and healthy.

The shelter is full! Stop by to adopt just in time for the holidays! While there please notice the lack of space and the upgrades needed.

From a devoted volunteer: URGENT: Full shelter...again. And it will get worse after Christmas when "the older dog doesn't get along with the new puppy"......when they have not been given nearly enough time and guidance for success.

This beautiful boy is Apollo! The old lady playing with him should look fairly familiar. I chose this picture because I want you to know that I have personally played with this boy and that I LOVE him! He would need an active person/family, a fenced in yard to play.....and NO cats please. It would be so sad to loose this awesome dog due to lack of space. Please share! All I want for Christmas is for our dogs to find forever or foster homes!

Hank is a gorgeous personable boy, but one who has a neurotic fixation with his tail, and we are so sad for him! His tail is already bobbed, and it appears to have been one from a skilled surgeon. Having worked with another dog a few years back with a similar problem, we understand that sometimes a dog's brain just doesn't work correctly and that we can't fix everything, despite wishing we could. Hank is being helped now because we can medicate him to keep him less frantic about being confined. If you know this boy, please share our posts so we can get him home. Someone loved him!
