Now it's Gwyn’s time to shine. ❤️

Gwyn arrived at the sanctuary after she was abandoned by her family nearly 10 years ago and since then she has been relying on people within the neighbourhood to feed her. 😢

Thankfully, Gwyn was rescued by a kind member of the public and she now has a cosy bed to call her own with regular access to food. ❤️

This lady has had to fend for herself for some time so she has had no option but to toughen up. Gwyn enjoys fuss and attention but will happily tell you when she has had enough. 💖

Gwyn deserves nothing less than a cosy home to call her own! We would love nothing more than for her to be in her forever home this Christmas. 🎄

Still no applications for poor Kiki 😢

Kiki arrived at the sanctuary because she wasn’t getting along with her feline companion. 🙈

She can be a little bit spicy – this lady knows her mind!! We love a cat with a bit of sass and this is Kiki’s way of communicating that she’s had enough attention. 😉

With her stunning markings, Kiki loves nothing more than to show off in front of visitors. ❤️

She will, in time, accept fuss and attention but she needs to build that trust with you first. If you are looking for an instant lap cat then Kiki isn’t the cat for you, but if you give her the time and patience she needs, then we can safely say the rewards will be worth it!! 🥰

We have an urgent rehoming appeal for beautiful Penny. Very sadly, her owner has passed away and poor Penny is now looking for a new home. She is a very loving cat, but is a little timid, and needs a quiet home, although she may be able to live with another cat. Important advice now the weather will start to turn ⬇️

Cats find antifreeze appealing because of its sweet taste, but it can be fatal if your cat ingests even a small amount. Signs to look out for include:⁣
⁣
👉 Excessive urination or none at all
👉 Vomiting⁣ or drooling
👉 Seeming uncoordinated⁣
👉 Unusually fast heart rate
👉 Fast and shallow breathing.
⁣
If you think your cat may have ingested antifreeze, get in touch with your vet immediately.

“Black Cat” - Missing from Sycamore Drive since Sunday (Sept 3rd) evening/night. Usually doesn’t leave the garden and lost his collar earlier in the day, so not believed to be wearing one.
Neutered and chipped to current owner. Registered with Tremain vets.
Any sightings please contact either us is Messenger, or Black Cat’s owner who I will ask to comment.

Over the last 10 months, a number of cats have gone missing from the Wellington Way area of Milton under Wychwood.
Some cats have eventually returned, however they have returned injured and fearful of human contact.

Tall black and white cat been missing for two weeks.
Any news please contact us direct so we can pass on to his owner, whom suspects that the cat has been taken 😔
Again although not confirmed, a suspicious disappearance. We again ask that all cat owners be vigilant.

Please sign whatever pets you have.
Pet theft and abduction is on the rise and a specific law should be introduced to deter people who commit such a heartbreaking and cruel crime causing pain and suffering to families across the UK.

Pets are family. Their abduction a traumatic experience. Despite this, stolen pets are regarded as personal property, with sentences dependent on monetary value. The Government should recognise the emotional & welfare impacts this crime has on people & pets by introducing a 'pet abduction' offence.

We currently have three recently missing cats in the town. Once again a pattern is forming. Whilst we won’t speculate and can only hope these cats will return, please be vigilant, think about the times you are letting your cats out (they are more vulnerable at night) and most importantly be reminded of the sick individual who shot several cats a few weeks ago with an air rifle. Think about doorbell footage, dash cams etc. they serve more than one purpose
Sending all of our thoughts to those of you who’s fur babies are currently unaccounted for.

Dinner time is fast approaching for our cats. They’ll be hungry from their days wanderings so will be happy to come inside. Make sure you keep them in for the night and ensure windows and doors are closed. Play soothing music and create a safe space for them. Ensure that all curtains are closed and plug in a suitable plug in to help them stay calm. Don’t let them suffer this bonfire night.

Please share. Getting your cats in early is key.

With 5th November approaching we have put together some tips to make fireworks less stressful for pets. If your cat is badly affected by fireworks spot on calming drops or a diffuser may help, especially if there is no pre-warning of a nearby firework display, (which annoyingly is often the case!) X
