Our family is growing! Welcome our sister brand, .in.our.hearts 🐾

A heartbreaking part of bringing pets into our lives is their eventual transition into the stars.

I started Held In Our Hearts as a gentler counterpart to the fun and frolic of Silly Goose Pets. When we lost our soul dog Izzy in 2022, Ryan and I spent a lot of time thinking about how to memorialize her in a way that made sense and was fitting for how much she meant to us.

I’m not sure how to put this nicely but a lot of the items available for pet memorials just aren’t “us” and they definitely weren’t Izzy. (And they’re ugly 🫢)

Her clay paw print still sat in the little navy blue gift bag that carried her final form and her collar and little boot she wore after her toe amputation still sits by where we keep our dogs’ leashes.

It didn’t seem right to leave her belongings languishing so I challenged myself to make the items I would want for her and make them available to our friends and customers too.

At events moving forward you will see some memorial items like this paw print frame and others launching soon not as a damper on the fun but as a way to help the staggering grief that comes with losing a beloved pet.

We are hopeful that this branch off from the fun of Silly Goose Pets will help that transition and give those who want to help the grieving with meaningful and thoughtful gift options as well.
