He is Co Owner of Champions Choice , you guessed it !!

** Tim Gorenchan Will be judging fish and reptiles !!

Tim Gorenchan lives in Escanaba, Michigan with his wife and two kids. He graduated from Michigan State University in 2001 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After moving back to his hometown in 2005, he opened North Country Legends Taxidermy. Since 2020, he has been a partner in Champions Choice Supply, LLC.

Tim started competing in 2010 and won best of categories with waterfowl, lifesize mammals and Whitetail Deer before focusing competitively on fish. His competition career has been highlighted by 11 State Championships, 5 WASCO awards, 4 Breakthrough Awards, National Champion, North American Champion and 3 Best in World titles for Coldwater Fish and Reproductions.

Tim is proud to be your fish and reptile judge for the 2025 and looks forward to a great show.

** Clint Rickey , yes he is returning to judge whitetail and we are so honored and grateful.

Clint Rickey - from Dodgeville, WI Owner of Rickey Ridge Taxidermy in
Southwest Wisconsin. Co-owner Champions Choice.
* Clint will be Judging Whitetail Deer and a instructor In a deer seminar.
Some of his accomplishments are:
2019 World Taxidermy Championships�Best in World Whitetail Deer
Award Winning at UTA in Whitetail Deer , multiple state 1 st place In Masters Division in Whitetail Deer.
2 nd place in the World in 2017 in Whitetail Deer

“ At the age of 19 I decided I wanted to be a full-time taxidermist and I opened Rickey Ridge Taxidermy studio. In that time the Lord has blessed my family and my business so much it’s unexplainable. I set a goal to win the biggest taxidermy competition in the world. Many sacrifices were made in that time, mainly by my wife. was fortunate to win in 2019 Third in World gamehead with my bison. introduction and discussions of proper form prep to make a better deer mount.
How different poses effect eye + ear movements and why.
1. horn setting, form prep, building of ems butts with proper muset structure, eue setting + elue woRk d head.
2. how to remove ear liners prior to mounting
3. cape prep , en cartilage removal, proper fitting of ear liner
Lunch
4. mount deer with Key hair pattern placement, grooming and bagging

Saturday , October 12th 8am - 5pm
1. go over mounted deer , adjustments , grooming
2. nose pad painting and nodule rebuilding
3. painting of eyes
Lunch
4. final finish of nose pad
5. questions + discussions on any shared phase of class
Note : Class will consist of basic + Advanced tips on commercial/ competition deer mounts
