Taking a minute to just harass my chins before taking off. You never know when it'll be the last day to rub a belly or chin.

For long term followers way back when, you may remember when Odin was one or so, he developed abdominal hernias we couldn't repair. Now that he's nearly 10 years old, they're starting to enlarge and become a problem.

We have a vet appointment on Tuesday to measure and re-discuss our options. His hernias came about after being neutered, partly because I had failed to keep him from hopping about, and partly due to an allergic reaction he had to the glue that extended the healing process.

I never thought I'd say this, but we are overwhelmed with chinchillas!
We have 4 available for adoption right now; 2 single males and 1 pair of males.

Chinchillas definitely require specialized care and patience, but are adorable pets to have. If you've ever been potentially interested in adopting a chinchilla, but don't know where to start, stop into the store and ask me!

I have these gorgeous baby chinchillas available now for new homes.

Chinchillas make loving pets, they are clean, quiet, odourless and they are quite shy and are more appropriate as pets for adults and older children. Typically chinchillas can live for 10-20 years.
Diet - Wild chinchillas eat leaves, stems, bark and seeds. Captive chinchillas need a high fibre diet based on grasses and hays.
• Chinchillas’ teeth grow constantly. They need to eat lots of hay, which is abrasive, to help wear their teeth down.
• Chinchillas feed in the early morning and late evening.
• Chinchillas eat by sitting on their haunches, holding the food in their forepaws.
