Damn, quail are prolific breeders! 😮
Started season with a trio of Bobwhites and now I have well over 30?? lol Would have been double that if I didn't shut down production!
They are some cute though...

Now at 7 weeks old, the 2 pheasant chicks (that seems to be the only I'll get this year) were released into the main aviary after spending the 1st 2 nights in the coop.
They are thoroughly enjoying all the exploring, foraging and catching bugs they get to do!
Aside from a bit of chasing from mom, they seem to be settling in nicely with everyone.

1st batch of 6 Bob White quail chicks all doing great!
Can tell 1 of them is from the Snowflake female being lighter.
Also, 1 is bit bigger as he was from a previous hatch. But sure he/she glad for some company!

The 1st 2 pheasant chicks getting some day time outdoor exposure... Still quite nervous but enjoying catching bugs and eating grass.
Hoping they are both female in case the remaining hatches aren't fertile.

Storm was getting too much for me in the house and now lives in the main outdoor aviary.
But still enjoys coming out for some 1:1 cuddles... 🥰

Had a quail chick struggle to hatch for 16hrs. I could tell it was fast losing strength and didn't think he would make it. So I helped it hatch out and hoped for the best. Sure enough he made out just fine! 🥰
