Introducing Peg and Al. We are back to being married with children! Today they received their first dose of RHDV2 vaccine, microchip, and wellness exam at Spartan Animal Hospital. Thanks to these two our house feels like a home again.

Effective January 1st all clients will be required to show proof of their rabbit being vaccinated for Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease, RHDV2. If your rabbit should come in contact with this virus he/she will bleed to death. Please read the information below from House Rabbit Society and contact your vet to schedule an appointment. The virus is extremly contagious and it is only a mater of time before it reaches Wisconsin. With a mortality range of 80-100% this is a no exception requirement to board and receive grooming services. Please reach out if you have questions. Thank you for your support.

House Rabbit Society gladly acknowledges the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of Medgene Labs’ recombinant vaccine against rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHDV2). This FAQ is designed to help bunny caregivers understand this vaccine and its role in protecting rabbits from this disease.

Our Harvey passed over the rainbow bridge last week. Loosing both our rabbits within 3 months is devastating. There is comfort in knowing our two special needs senior buns are once again together. Caring for rabbits we board while grieving kept me busy and our home feeling a little less empty. Thank you for your trust and mutual understanding of the huge role pets play in our lives.

Part of being a pet owner is doing what is right for your pet even if it is difficult for you as their owner. Our Holly passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge yesterday. Clients have reached out to check on us, offer an ear to listen, and even bring dinner. It's amazing the number of kind people who wouldn't be in our lives if it weren't for rabbits and WI Bun & Breakfast. We miss our sweet girl but know she's in a better place feasting on bananas and binking like crazy. 🌈
