Our litter is growing up! Just shy of 8 weeks. We spent yesterday temperament testing them and will be making final placement in a day or two. Such a happy group of puppies, very easy going, sweet & incredibly social happy group. So pleased with this cross.

Manding (think the opposite of ‘demanding’) is sitting politely, waiting for attention. It gives our puppies a way of communicating with us. They will learn when they offer this behavior it is positively rewarded. Jumping up, crying, biting doesn’t get them the treat!

Find a way that makes it easy for your puppy to achieve your request, like patiently waiting, or using a treat near their nose to help them get into position. 2. When a puppy (accidentally) complies with your request, say a word like “yes” to let your puppy know they did what you asked. 3. REWARD with a treat and PRAISE. 4. Reenforce what your puppy learned using repetition. 5. Keep your training sessions short, under 5 minutes. 6. Make training fun!!!
