*Latest update on the twins!*

Dusty and Orla's blood was successfully delivered AND tested in the German lab and I am delighted to announce that, after failing the first time around, Orla tested POSITIVE for rabies ANTIBODIES!!! Me and Orla's mum, Daniela are VERY happy, as now Orla is on track to move to Germany in October!! 😍 WOOP!

HOWEVER I need to pay €50eur to receive Dusty's results... she still doesn't have a family 😔 So we need YOUR help!

I’m finally back in Dahab after a few weeks away visiting family, and I am so grateful to find that my beautiful pack is safe and sound 💚 I want to say a huge thank you to the team of people who volunteered to take care of Shamsy's Little Wolves whilst I was away! But mostly I want to say a humongous THANK YOU to Carmen and Juan for taking care of the house and the dogs the whole time 🐾 🙏❤️

Carmen dedicated her entire life to the girls whilst I was away, and it’s not common to find someone who has the heart or the resilience to do that. Taking care of a pack of dogs 24/7 in 40-50 degree heat is tough: The barking, the fighting, the cooling, the cleaning, the mess. And with the recent dog poisonings and deaths in Dahab, it was even more stressful and easy for everyone to be paranoid about their well-being. But Carmen and Juan made it through everything and stuck by the girls through it all. We are beyond grateful 🌞🐶🐺

Now it’s time to get back to work and find these girls a home! 💪💚 Paws and love!!!

Hello beautiful souls, I need your help. This is Dusty. For the last 6 months, I’ve given her everything she needs. But now she needs a family. She needs a real mother or a father, someone who can walk her and cuddle her every day and give her the beautiful life she deserves. She cannot go back on the street.

She is fully vaccinated with a passport, deworming and working tick medicine. If you will stay in Dahab/Egypt, I can assist with the neutering process. Or if you want to take her abroad, then she will be ready to travel in October. I can keep her until then if necessary.

If you have children or another dog, she will LOVE them, and they will love her. She is the easiest, sweetest, friendliest, most soft-natured dog I ever had the honour of taking care of.

Please help me find her a loving forever home.

Fellow Dahabians! Just a reminder that Shamsy's is not a shelter, not a rescue centre, nor a hotel. These are not my responsibilities. I have chosen to dedicate my life here to creating a home for dogs temporarily where they are given medical and practical care before adoption (they are not domesticated by me) if they are in need or cannot fend for themselves on the street, OR if they already have owners and need 'dog-sitting'.

(However, I also adopted Rey 2 years ago who is prepared to travel and will stay with me forever!!!)

After saving her from starvation twice, it’s time for Orla to find a loving home. She’s too quiet and gentle to be part of a pack like the one I have here, and she really deserves a loving family. She much prefers cuddling with humans over playing with dogs and I think she will be so good with children especially.

Orla is about 4 months old and she's the perfect pup for a family with siblings or a single child. She is so friendly, soft, quiet and also house-trained. She's been through so much and she really deserves a forever home 💚

Usually when a dog is ill, other dogs instinctively stay away from them in order to maintain pack health. But when Orla was sick and wouldn’t eat and didn’t really move from this spot, Lilah would lie down next to her super close and with a really happy energy, almost like she was saying “Hey, I’m here, we got this!” ❤️

The leftover donations went towards rent, food, treats, and tick medicine for the rest of these lovely girls (the heat of tick season is coming in strong)! Thank you again for supporting us during this tough time 💚 Paws and love 🌞🐶🐺

Wow! What a scary and EXHAUSTING start to March! After a short visit to the UK for important family matters, I returned to Dahab to find that the puppies were left to starve in filth by the person who was supposed to be taking care of the dogs and the garden/house. Orla was sick and dying. She wouldn't eat a thing and was barely able to move. Then, after a bunch of BEAUTIFUL people donated within hours of sharing the situation, Orla was taken to the vet three days in a row, where she was drip fed (and medicated) twice a day, until she was eventually able to start digesting real food again! WOO !!! Now she's back to life and more troublesome than ever !!! 💚 We're very grateful here, happy to be back to normal, and super in love with all of the help that's been received !!! Hello lovely people, welcome to Shamsy's Little Wolves! 🌞🐶

Here's a breakdown of the work we do in Dahab, South Sinai:

1. Short-term dog-sitting for domesticated dogs. (A few hours to a few weeks)

2. Temporary housing and care for domesticated dogs whilst their humans travel abroad. (A few weeks to a few months)

3. Temporary foster care for abandoned pups that need emotional/trauma support and adoption preparation, after they were domesticated by humans and then left on the street again. (Dogs that need temporary foster care until they find long-term adopters.) (As long as possible, but usually a few months)

4. Temporary foster care for injured/endangered street dogs that need medical care and/or a safe place to stay until other arrangements are made. (As long as possible, but usually a few days)

*Please note: We are not another ‘Dog Wadi’, a homeless shelter, or a place for people to dump their dogs. Nor is this project designed to help house dogs on the beach that ‘bark too much’. (Those dogs are already healthy and 'at home' and we must learn how to live together.)*
