I had a great conversation with another vendor at a show recently about our name "Brae Hedge Homestead". She was from another area with Brae in the name ad we got onto talking about why we named our businesses as we did.
I had a great conversation with another vendor at aa show recently about our name "Brae Hedge Homestead". She was from another area with Brae in the name ad we got onto talking about why we named our businesses as we did.
So, here are some photos of the old farm: Brae Hedge. My father's family ran this dairy farm for many years. And, although the farm itself has passed from our family, we really wanted to honour some of the values that we had learned as a farming family: hard work, quality materials & quality products, fairness to our customers, and respecting the land and animals that we work with.
I hadn't seen these pictures in quite a while - although our logo is designed off the outline of the house :) Emma always loved going to visit the farm - the chance to roam in the fields, pick wild tea berries, and enjoy the fresh air - so these are really quite special as they're some of the last farm photos we have.
