Once again, we are offering Therapy Dog Classes for folks and their dogs who are calm, friendly and want to visit hospitals, nursing homes, libraries, classrooms etc.
Its amazing how rewarding these visits can be and helpful for patients, families children etc.
A 3 week session will be held Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM.
Dates: Aug. 13th, (@ Burchard Hill Cinic in Freeport)
Aug. 20th (@ Freeport Hospital)
Aug. 27th.(@ Burchard Hills Clinic)
*certification test will be held that night.

Dog's Shot records are required, and Bordetella vaccine is highly recommended.

Once again, we are offering Therapy Dog Classes for anyone with a calm reliable dog who would do well visiting hospital patients, nursing home patients, schools, library and other places. It's amazing how great the reward is, seeing how much good these visits do for patients and children.
Classes will be held at Burchard Hills Medical
Clinic. One week will be at FHN hospital.
The class runs for 3 weeks, with certification test being held the 3rd week.
The classes are Tuesdays Aug 13th Aug. 20th and Aug. 27th at 6:00 PM.
Dogs must be up to date on vaccines.
Bordetella vaccine is highly recommended.

If you have a friendly dog who wants to help improve lives of hospital patients, nursing home residents, school children and children who want to read to dogs st the library, you now can do that, as well as other places.
I am currently taking registrations for Therapy Dog Class.
It will be held for 3 weeks beginning this coming Tues Feb. 6th. @ 6:00 PM.
Location: Burchard Hills Medical building here in Freeport.
We eill also hold the Therapy Dog Test on the 3rd evening.
Dogs must be up to date on vaccines.

We will be offering a 3 week
Therapy Dog Class in conjunction with Freeport Health Network.
The class will run at Burchard Hills Clinic in Freeport starting Wed. Aug.2nd @ 6:00 PM.
Fee: 60.00
A Therapy Dog Test will be held at Freeport Memorial Hospital on Sat. Aug 19th.

Dogs must be up to date on vaccines.

We will be offering a Therapy Dog Class for folks interested in visiting hospitals, libraries, school, nursing homes etc. with their pooch. Class will start Wed 6/28 @ 6:00 PM @ Burchard Hill clinic here in Freeport. The class will be 3 weeks and a Therapy Dog test will be held on July 15. Time and place TBD.

We only have a few openings, but will be doing another class in near future.
*Dogs must know basic obedience and be calm around children, adults and other dogs etc. Must be at least 1 yr old and up to date on vaccines. Bordetella (kennel cough vaccine) would be appreciated.
No choke chains or prong collars.
6' leash and slip on or buckle collar are allowed.

We are FINALLY able to begin testing for new Therapy Dog teams! It has been a long hiatus and we are very thrilled to be able to return to visiting our community with our talented pups!

Our next Therapy Dog Certification Test will occur at Brooke's Barks & Recreation on:

930am-1100am
-Pre-registration is required.-

Testing is completed to Therapy Dog International standards. All proficient teams will be registered with TDI following the test.
