Calico Farms Horsemanship welcomes, Fendi into our 30 Day-Program!

Fendi, is a 5 year old Quarter Horse with TONS of potential. She has only been here a week and she is already showing progress in her work to be an enjoyable ride for her owner!
•
She is willing, respectful, and asks great questions...you read that right, horses do ask QUESTIONS 🧐 and there is a difference between a horse “testing” it’s rider and “asking a question” when they are unsure.
•

Sadie successfully completed her 30 Day Program and is back home with her human continuing bettering their relationship and building off everything she learned here at Calico Farms!

Calico Farms is a locally-owned horse farm with humble origins and small-town values. Located on the owners' residential property, Calico Farms is set within rural Smiths Grove, KY. This farm specializes in horsemanship, training, and boarding for horse owners who appreciate 1:1 specialized care from a small but competent staff in a laid-back atmosphere.

I have considered myself a horsewoman since I was as young as five years old. It has always been something that inspired me to better myself. That’s the amazing thing about horsemanship, there is always room to grow, ALWAYS. Working with horses had made me both tough and gentle, proud and humble, knowing when to stand my ground and when to open up and be willing.

Working with horses teaches us a lot, very little of it actually has to do with horses.

I am owner and operator of, Calico Farms • Horsemanship, Boarding, and Training. With over 18 years of horse experience I have seen it all and have taken what I’ve learned from all these years to build a dream of mine since I was a kid. Providing a facility where horse care/training is personalized and for everyone who comes to Calico Farms to feel a sense of nostalgia.

The purpose of this page is to promote my small (but growing) business that revolves around the personalized care of individuals horses. Not only that, but also bring to light the relationship that can be built between a horse and human that I have seen first hand positively influence the lives of horse owners and non-horse owners as well.
