The BRC has 20 different breeds in its fancy section with 10 different breeds in the Lop section, 47 different breeds within the Fur section and 2 different breeds in the Rex!
Over 65 different breed colours and over 15 different breed patterns!

The importance of the various characteristics of a breed is shown by the number of points (out of 100) allotted to each. Thus from the breed standard the breeder can picture the ideal specimen, and can judge its quality from an exhibition standpoint.
Many breed standards, for example those of the Dutch and English, have been published for over 100 years. Others are up to 70 years old, and in recent years some 17 new breeds have been standardised!

Velveteen lop buck unfortunately I won't be starting up with the breed as I'd hoped. He's full of character there's never a dull moment with him. He's a larger bun so will need lots of space. I'd like a bun experienced home for him due to his giant ears 🥰 🩶
