We’re still getting used to each other and I have to come up with a cut that suits their owners and their personality. What I love is building a relationship with the puppy and client from day one and figuring out what haircut works best for both of them. I feel so lucky and excited to continue those relationships♥️

Sometimes life gets in the way and your time, money, or health prevents you from getting to the groomer as often as you’d like. I love being able to add some relief for the animal and owner when they are able to visit me! Transformations like this can be a challenge but I love being able to use my skills to remodel an animal into their best selves✂️

Working as a pet groomer at a veterinary hospital means dealing with the cards you’re dealt…even when that means a head wrapped dog after an injury🥲

Learning to groom animals at a vet is a unique experience that I’m so grateful for. Along with Melissa’s built up client base, the majority of our dogs are old age or have been turned away from private groomers because of behavioral or physical safety issues. We have immediate vet treatment on hand in case of emergency and a lot of pet owners find it convenient to get vet treatment and grooming in one place. I’ve learned and continue to learn from the wide spectrum of dogs we receive at the vet, and my confidence in handling dogs of all breeds, behaviors, and conditions increases every day. It’s a big and sometimes stressful responsibility having to work with these dogs, but the skills, patience, and compassion I gain along the way are so fundamental in my growing approach to grooming. Learning how to safely and successfully groom a dog that requires a little more TLC only makes me a stronger groomer💪🏻✂️
