I had the pleasure of watching these 3 this weekend. One of the dogs was 2 weeks post op from a double knee surgery. I was happy to assist him with getting up and down stairs and making sure he rested. They were pretty happy to stay home while their family was away.

Porcupine’s are getting more active this time of year so be on the lookout. I thank Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough for helping us out last night.

If your dog gets porcupine quills in him or her they will need to be surgically removed to ensure they get the whole thing which can be deeply embedded. And best to get them there ASAP so that the quills don’t get any deeper.

My job is especially rewarding when I can help a client in need. I received a request late last night for a check in visit this morning at 7am. The couple was on vacation and not coming home for several days and their automatic cat feeder stopped working.

After climbing over a huge snow bank and up their unplowed driveway I was greeted by a kitty who was hungry and I’m sure very happy to see me. It was the highlight of my day. The couple was able to relax and enjoy the rest of their vacation knowing their fur baby was taken care of.

They were very thankful that an app like Rover.com exists
