Ok, you know when people say dog breeding isn’t easy.. isn’t simply a hobby or even a job.. it’s a life changing, soul shifting kinda journey…. it’s beyond true.

Anyone can put two dogs together and breed, but the folks doing their very best to do it right, those are the folks I want to surround myself with and cheer on.

I felt not enough.
I felt I’d be shut down (I was shut down).
I felt I’d be judged.
I felt quite frankly, too scared for far too long.

I searched Kijiji over and over again,
“Purebred pomeranian” and golden retriever as well
•
I messaged 15 people with ads (for the Poms), of that 15, 1 was CKC registered, NOT one could provide health testing NOR dna. The ads ranged from 2 K - 4 K.

We need to start actively supporting and promoting quality breeders, those thats lives revolve around their family & dogs. Those that health test, dna test, get regular check ups, see repo vets, screen their homes, groom and care for their dogs with the utmost love and respect.

We need to stop impulse purchasing and promote either ethical breeders or ethical rescues because let me tell you, in these few short months since we’ve dived into the dog world, I have met some FABULOUS BREEDERS! & so many breeds! ♥️⭐️

They care.
They lose sleep.
They spend weekends travelling for appointments.
They screen each home.
They follow some sort of program or socialization plan.
They health test their dogs.
They put their dogs first and foremost.
Those are my KINDA people ♥️

Sundays are my day to reflect and this week has been incredibly stressful but so rewarding. With Tilly and Tater completely their OFAs, I can rest easy knowing I’ve done right by them. ❤️
