On February 9, 1991 Mike Hill was killed by a huntsman while out hunt sabbing.
While trying to stop the unsuccessful hunt from moving on to another location, Mike was crushed under the trailer of a pickup truck.
Mike’s death was the result of years of hunters’ built up aggression and violence, coupled with a police force that simply didn’t care.
The animal rights movement responded with attacking the huntsman’s home in what was described as a riot.

🐔 BATTERY HEN RESCUE 🐔
Our next rescue is on the last 2 weekends of February. Your exact date would depend on your pick up location - these are spread from Northland, throughout Auckland, and down to Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua & Ohakune!
We have more than half the homes pre-approved 😍😍😍 but still need homes for over 700 hens!!! Please, if you can offer any of these precious souls a safe place to live out their days, complete our adoption forms:

A reminder that the adoption donation is a minimum of $5 per hen, which covers the price of their freedom as well as part of their worm and parasite treatments. This actually doesn't cover all the costs of running the rescue, so if anyone is wanting to help but can't adopt this time, donations are gratefully received!!!

There are places that take that abstract philosophy of animal liberation and put it into practice - sanctuaries.
Places of all sizes that are providing safe homes for those lucky animals that escape their pasts to live out beautiful futures (like Helen the bison at )
But their work can’t be done without us, and that’s why supporting sanctuaries should be built into our activist routines. Give them love - share their stories and amplify their work. Give them time - volunteer at their farms or by offering your talents. Give them money - donate if you can, on a monthly basis If possible.

Today numerous foxes were hunted (but saved by sabs from North Wales and Cheshire Hunt Saboteurs ) it's about time HGC Tîm Troseddau Cefn Gwlad / NWP Rural Crime Team took some action.
