Kenleigh finally got the nerve to trot LB today
Kade & Kissin. We finally found a saddle that the stirrups took up enough for him so he could ride with stirrups. He can get his feet in them, I need to adjust them some more. We just tried this saddle to see if it would work before making adjustments.
Marley & Winter, the girls ride the Pony after lessons to relax & have fun. Winter is tiny, she's stubborn, lazy & hard headed. She's a lot of fun & a great confidence builder. She's not easy to ride, but once u figure out how to make her go she rides good for a Pony. She normally bucks a lot at first, she doesn't buck hard. The kids think it's fun. She is so small they can step off of her if they get scared. So far they have rode her while bucking. No one has stepped off or been thrown off. She did not buck with Marley, I think she was disappointed she didn't buck. 😂
Kelsie & Kissin's first time riding bareback. Keep in mind when I post these videos they r from beginning to end. To show the student's/horse's progress during this process. They show mistakes & how they r corrected to show the learning process involved.
Kelsie took one of Marley's lesson videos & made this video for Marley.
The little grey mare is being lazy today. That's better than the alternative, lol. Normally young horses have plenty of energy. I'm lucky all of mine r lazy..
LB was a little aggravated with me today, lol. He did good for Marley
The girls & Sky while waiting for our turn in line for the parade
Little Stormy was the first small child to take lessons on the famous retired show horse before she passed away. Stormy is all grown up now. How time flys.
Kade moved up to the next level lesson horse today. Sailor teaches patience & how to properly apply leg pressure. If your leg isn't in the right spot, he stands still & waits to be asked correctly. He's also the laziest horse I've ever worked with so he will strengthen your legs. He's very laid back, he will put up with anything. His mood never changes. Kade is the 1st student to get Sailor to move forward on the 1st lesson. He even jogged today. Sailor usually spends the 1st few lessons standing still before the student figures out how to move forward. Once they r able to walk it takes a few more lessons to jog. Kade was able to keep Sailor moving forward the entire lesson. He really got him to move forward, so next week we will work on slowing down.
