Our Black & Tan Girlies

Something so classic about a B&T.

Berry - The sweetest of girls I’ve truly ever met, very special and super proud of this beautiful girl who might just be my joint favourite long, if we were allowed them of course.

Daisie, another joint favourite if I was allowed one 🙊 and another absolutely super sweet girl, gives incredible kisses and known to still perform the occasional excited piddle during her happy dance to visitors.

Blossom, our super smart girl, another super sweet cuddly girl but by far the most vocal of the girls, voice of an angel though obviously 🤫

Primrose - Such a sweet gentle soul and our first cream girl. Prim’s super easy going and will glue herself to your lap all day long.

Snowdrop - Another total sweetheart with the waggiest of tails who still loves a suckle on a blankie 🥹

Peony - Always the last girl on the playground 🛝 She gives beautiful cuddles and has a real heart of gold 💛

Favourite thing - His love for his heartbeat puppy since being a tiny baby, although he is currently on teddy number 5 🤣 and his special bond with his human sister Poppy and of course cheese 🧀
Biggest dislike- Birds 🦅

Peak - He’s completed our family and made us all so happy.
Pit - There is no pits to having him ( apart from stealing shoes and hair bobbles or barking at absolutely nothing 😂😂.)

Breeders fondest memory - When Poppy came to visit she made every one of the girls the most beautiful treat bags with all their names on and even ones for the puppies which were colour coordinated to match their ID collars. Was a precious moment 🥹

Breeders fondest memory: waking up one morning to a change of heart message saying “is the black & tan boy still looking for his family” 😭 (Badgers human sister was so desperate and on our waiting list for a girl.)

Another brilliant set of IVDD screening results for our girl Berry.

Berry has been screened with an IDC grade of 1 and we’re absolutely over the moon.

We have a huge passion for health testing and producing litters that only pose the LOWEST RISK of them being affecting by the awful IVDD disease.

“Bye for now Thumper” 🥹

Our gorgeous boy left for his furever family yesterday, we’ve had lots of messages and photos showing us how settled and happy he is which eases the sadness enormously.

What an absolute pleasure you have been Thumper, we cannot wait to see you next at one of our annual meet up’s already 🙈

We kept a little secret, although some of you noticed 🙈

Say hello to Posie, our very, very long awaited show girl who joined us recently. We’re nervously excited to start this new chapter together but I’m committed to giving my best and battle through the nerves.

A huge thank you to all who helped with Posie, people going out of their way to choose pick of the litter for me, those helping with ringcraft and those helping with training etc.

And of course, to my showing mentors, thank you for having me.

I’ve been really touched by so many lovely people, so thank you everyone 😘

She’s going to be a great distraction for me personally when we say goodbye to Thumper tomorrow so the timing has been perfect 🥹 as he has a huge hole to fill!

Happy 10 weeks and happy head tilt to our gorgeous boy Thumper.

As every week passes I always wonder if I can write a post explaining how loved our bubbas are and every week I can never find the words 🥹

One day maybe, but for now, thank you for being the gorgeous sausage you are, the most perfect singleton Thumper in the world 🌍

“Puppy Families”

As some annual vaccinations are on the horizon, it’s a good time for me to refresh your memories on some important topics.

✨ Annual vaccines, each surgery is different so do check your practices timeline. My girls practice for some vaccines is every 15 months and believes like I do that over vaccinating isn’t what we need for our fury friends so do please check.

Also remember my thoughts on Lepto4 vaccine ❌ but do you own research.

✨ During the health check, it’s almost certain that “ To Neuter or Not To Neuter” topic will be discussed.

Remember, it’s something agreed in our contracts that NONE of our puppies are to be neutered until at least 24 months of age unless there is a medical reason.

We spend thousands Xraying our dogs for IVDD grades, selecting equally graded stud dogs and then ensuring the stud we select will only ever pose the MINIMAL risk of their off spring going in to developing IVDD.

Neutering them early, will make all our hard work pointless but we’re confident in all our families that they back our ethos a million percent.

This risk of developing this horrific disease CAN’T be guaranteed, so many factors come into play, environmental, tiny injuries etc, what we instil and comit to is achieving puppies that pose the minimal likelihood of developing it.

That is the most and very least we can do as breeders and something we’re incredibly passionate about, our very best will always be standard.

5 whole weeks of loving bubba Thumper. He is an absolute joy and absolutely scrummy.

Were nerdily enjoying all the learning singleton puppies bring and blessed to be doing it with such a good boy.
